TOPIC/SUBJECT OF THE ACTIVITY

Visit to Mother Dairy Plant to make students aware of the different microbial techniques used in Dairy industry

OBJECTIVES To give students exposure to the facilities used for making dairy products. Also interaction with scientists in the facility helped students understand the practical issues associated with dairy industry

METHODOLOGY Permission from the Principal and Mother dairy was taken and a visit was scheduled on 4th April, 2019

OUTCOMES

Students gained information on the techniques, instruments and microbes used in dairy industry. This visit is mandatory in the DSE paper entitled Environmental and Industrial Microbiology in Semester 6 of B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany.
