It is specifically designed for links that require up to 1Gb/s data transmission over telephony twisted pair cable for digital subscriber line (DSL) upgrades to new the G.fast standard. ITU-T 9701 and 9700, or G.fast, is a new DSL standard applied in the last mile of Telecom Service Provider networks. It is intended for local loops shorter than 500m, with data speed performance targets of between 150 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s, depending on loop length. G.fast is a significant data speed upgrade from VDSL2, up to 30x faster, that works over an existing telephony twisted pair line. The DM7087 is implemented as a Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) MSA compliant transceiver module. Small Form Factor

The dataMate™ DM7087 copper transceiver module is a

high performance integrated data link for bi-directional

communication over copper cable. It is specifically

designed for links that require up to 1Gb/s data
