ISP091204 WHDI Transmit Display Mini Card Features Video transmission from PC to Large Screen TV or Projector WHDI Transmitter PCI SIG standard Display Mini Card WHDI 1.0 compliance including HDCP 2.0 44.4 x 26.8 x 5 mm Up to UXGA video quality Includes 1080p 60 Hz S/PDIF + 4 x I2S Audio 192 kHz 24 bit Uses 5GHz ISM band Power consumption 4W Up to 10 bits per colour MIMO Configuration Description This module is based on the Robin platform developed by Amimon and Maxim-IC. The card makes use of a display port receiver to enable serial data from the display port to be transmitted over the 5GHz WHDI wireless link. This solution allows transmission of high quality video, without compression, over a distance of 10 to 50 m depending on the environment. The form factor of the module is compliant with the PCI SIG specification for the Display Mini Card (44.4 x 26.8 x 5 mm). The card operates as a plug-in add-on to any netbook PC equipped with the Display Mini Card interface. It uses 2x 5GHz antennas that may already be integrated into the netbook as part of the WiFi system. The key components in the module are the AMN2120 WHDI Transmitter Baseband Processor, Maxim’s MAX 2850, a suitable Display Port Receiver IC, a micro-controller and RF front end discrete components. Parts of the RF front end are integrated within the structure of the Mini Card to enable size optimization. The Display Port Receiver IC receives the Display Port data from the Netbook PC in 3 differential serial lines and passes the data in parallel format to the AMN2120 Baseband Processor. The Analog IQ data from the AMN2120 is used to drive the MAX2850 that creates the modulated RF signals that are sent over the air. Two separate transmit antennas are used in a MIMO configuration to optimize the link budget. Error correction data is sent back from the distant WHDI receiver and is handled by the MAX2850/AMN2120 chipset.

Description This module is based on the Robin platform developed by Amimon and Maxim-IC. The card makes use of a display port receiver to enable serial data from the display port to be transmitted over the 5GHz WHDI wireless link. This solution allows transmission of high quality video, without compression, over a distance of 10 to 50 m depending on the environment.
