    OB TITLE: Data Center Operations Manager

    DEPARTMENT: IM / Infrastructure

    REPORTS TO: Director Global Data Center

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Data Center Operations Manager position oversees and manages the enterprise data center, serverand storage platforms for Coty Inc in Sanford North Carolina. Team activities include overseeing the data

    center asset management, hardware and operating system support, security patching, system backupresolution, vendor management, incident management, root cause analysis, new project consultation anddisaster recovery analysis and planning.

    The manager will be responsible for enforcing standard configurations, identifying weaknesses,optimizing processes, and partnering with the engineering team to rollout new technologies. The managerwill also be responsible for establishing metrics that assist with improving IT Operations, stability acrossthe data center and other sites.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coordinate the ongoing activities of the Data Center Services team, inclusive of oversight for therelated IT project portfolio as well as ongoing incident response management for supported systems.

    Leadership and support of a staff of supporting 24x7 computer operations. Assist in providing resolution to hardware technical problems in a cost-effective manner. Participate & implement the creation of technical service procedures, policies, and manuals. I.e.

    develop and execute SOPs.

    Review datacenter server hardware, software and maintenance to ensure contracts are up to date. Oversee and coordinate lifecycle management for all onsite server and storage infrastructure

    architecture, business continuance and service restoration strategies.

    Manage Data Center service contracts to ensure that they deliver quality services to Coty and meetservice level agreements.

    Involves managing all incident resolution when related to any issues with servers, storage and network.Working with the enterprise monitoring team to ensure all alerts are accounted for and acted upon

    within set SLA's.

    Planning and oversight for all physical infrastructure activities affecting the datacenter facility Ongoing technical and leadership support for activities involving Data Center Services team Performance management and capacity planning for backups and batch processing Ensuring continuous improvement of operations processes and procedures, such that they are highly

    effective and reflect industry best practices.

    Communicate data center platform technology strategy to all levels of the organization includingbusiness and technical partners

    Perform resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control Forecast staff needs, including coaching, motivating and developing team members

    Serve as a Data Center liaison with Applications teams and Management, Network,Operations/Engineering and Facilities groups

    Development and enhancement of Data Center SOP documentation and process, includingemergency response, disaster recovery and physical security management

    Enforce strict Change Management policies regarding datacenter resources Assist in implementing service methodologies including but not limited to, incident management,

    problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

    Supervises all audit and regulatory requirements associated with the data center services. Responsibilities may extend to include other 24x7 operations functions and IT business. Responsible for DR planning and recovery of the core system and its subsystems

    QUAL IFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum 15 years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 5 years Data Center operations. Global experience is preferred. Minimum 7 years of management experience with direct reports BA or BS degree is required. MS degree in an IT-related science is preferred. Major role in coordinating work with local, regional and global business and IT teams Requires a strong orientation to Infrastructure Qualification in ITIL Service Management Best practice (Ideally to Manager Level)

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for dealing with internal and externalcustomers.

    Excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively manage relationships in amatrix organizationacross functional and geography (global, regional, and local)

    Experience and familiarity with server, network and storage architectures.

    SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Strategic-

    Coordinate applicable strategies and services for stakeholders in all Cotys geographies (NorthAmerica, Latin America, Asia and Europe) and functions (Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and

    Human Resources).

    Business-

    Major role in coordinating work with local, regional and global business and IT teams Requires a strong orientation to Infrastructure Qualification in ITIL Service Management Best practice (Ideally to Manager Level)
