How does it work There are 6 algorithms developed in-house by Datamatics to

capture OMR

These algorithms achieve very high accuracy (up to 99.9%) in OMR processing

Each algorithm recognizes each box as one of the following• Y (Yes) – OMR Boxes that are ticked (shown in Green color)• N (No) – OMR Boxes that are not ticked (shown in Grey

color)• S (Suspect) – OMR Boxes which cannot be predicted by OMR

methods (shown in Red color)• C (Cancellation) – OMR Boxes which are ticked & then

cancelled (shown in Red color)

Final QC

Ruby script FQC program

Final Quality Check (FQC) is run on the converted (txt) file, unlike in Quality checks where the validations are performed on the data captured prior to conversion.

FQC checks the data in case of erroneous conversion by the conversion program.

FQC is run on every single record prior to the final delivery.

FQC is a Ruby-based program wherein validations are scripted for all the questions of the survey based on the editing instructions. Each individual question is also checked for their respective column positions.

Quality Assurance

First level quality benchmark @ 98% character level

Second level quality benchmark @ 99.5 % character level

2% Statistical Quality Checks (SQC) – SQC will involve checking the randomly selected Forms (2 %). The forms will be

selected by the project Manager /Project supervisor. This will ensure random selection and maintain integrity of the process. The forms selected for SQC will be checked field-by-field, character-by-character

and all errors will be recorded in an Excel file. This report will have details of errors made and correct value to be captured.
