WHAT IS DARK ROOMDARK ROOM IS A ROOM, FROM WHICH NORMAL LIGHT IS EXCLUDED. IT IS MADE COMPLETELY DARK TO ALLOW THE PROCESSING OF LIGHT SENSITIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS.

THE ENTRANCELike any other room there is a door to the room, however for a dark room it is a special door it has to be a absolutely light tight door.

The Door should have lock in the knob, this is to keep people from entering whilst film is in process.

Most efficient but is the most expensive type of door.

The outer is fixed Has two black cylinders.

Inner is the revolving door which only opens one way with one door.

The cheapest type of door.

Can cause accidental exposure of film to white light.

Weather striping around the door frame

Has 2 doors One door cannot be

opened unless one has been closed.

This type can cause trapping

One door leading in and other out with a short hallway in between them.

Has no doors. Takes up too much of the

building space. People can enter and exit

at anytime.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF IT The dark room is a room that can be made completely dark this is to allow the processing of the light sensitive photographic materials, including film and photographic paper. Various equipment is used in the darkroom, including an enlarger, baths containing chemicals, and running water.

FILM 35MM

35mm film is the most common photographic film format.

What is 35MM FILM?

The film is 35mm wide.

Each standard image is 24×36mm.

Individual rolls of 35mm film are enclosed in single-spooled light-tight metal canisters. This allows cameras to be loaded even in broad daylight.
