Step 7 takes you through lift off and after. When I first learned this stuff, I imagined that lift off would be all fireworks and the 1812 overture. Well, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. That’s just the way of things. And ‘after’ can have a personality all of its own too.

In short, getting what you desire can be absolute heaven or a bit-by-bit experience or it-isn’t-what-I-thought-it-would-be. As with the entire programme, I’m not going to peddle a Pollyanna-happy-ever-after fantasy. What I can tell you is the reality of creating what you desire is an amazing personal development journey full of riches you never knew were there… however it turns out.

Time to dig in…

Section One – It’s all Success!

Achieving what you’ve desired as an immediate result is one of the best experiences ever. There’s the feeling of YES! or, as a friend of mine describes it, WOOOP-WOOOP! Air punches and other expressions of exhilaration are absolutely recommended. You deserve to celebrate.

Previously a client of mine had felt helpless and powerless in the face of work changes and demands instigated by her management. We worked over time to build her self-value, connect with her organic confidence and recognise herself for the bright, articulate and powerful woman she really was.

Then came yet another meeting with management where historically she’d felt crushed and intimidated. Not this time!

Holding her body and self in a ‘confident’ position, the worm turned. She took control of management’s agenda, spoke authoritatively on their points and set the protocol for her return to work after sick absence. I wish I’d been a fly on the wall.

Her life will never be the same again. Having found her ‘voice,’ she won’t allow herself to be brought down again by the dictates of ‘authority’ figures. She’s lived her desired behaviour and reaped the benefits of it. Celebration time indeed!

“I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come.”

Michael Jordan

Dare to be You : Step 7 Workbook6

However, what some of you desire to create might not manifest in such a clear and one moment kind of way.

When I think of this kind of desired success it could be related to ending a relationship, studying for a degree, undertaking any course of learning, creating a business or developing a hobby. Anything that, by virtue of its nature, gets built over time and, sometimes, a long period of time. I call this a bit by bit success.

Even so, there will be break-through moments to celebrate. So, celebrate them wildly. You might not recognise the baby step moments when you get nearer to what you desire. So stay awake to them as much as you can. And celebrate at every opportunity because you too are a star!

Even when you’re desired future ‘isn’t-what-I-thought-it-would-be’ it’s a time to celebrate. No, I’m not going doolally and will discuss this case more later. For now…

I’m thinking of a client whose desire was for ‘freedom.’ For her this meant ending an unhappy marriage. However, she’d not counted on the grief she might feel at its ending. There was the loss of hopes and dreams she’d had as part of a couple which would never now become reality.

Even though she didn’t want to be part of that particular couple anymore, there was still the need to grieve the loss of what would never now be.

“The more you praise and

celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”

In a case like this, recognise that you’ve been and are an agent of change rather than being a victim. You set out to change what you didn’t want in your life anymore and you did.

The fact that it hasn’t turned out the way you thought it would is neither here nor there. Celebrate your success in creating something different to the way things were. You’re also a star!

By being proactive and doing something different you have created a success. And, whether it feels like a success or not, don’t you forget it!

Please read all the following sections. How your ‘Lift-off and After’ pans out could include some or everything outline in all three.

Go to it!

I’m feeling bored. What’s that about? I feel sleepy and am yawning. Could be the delicious double portion of crispy grilled bacon I had for breakfast making me feel full and sleepy. Or it could be about tackling the topic of immediate success and after.

You might be thinking, ‘What on earth is Sharon going on about?’ Well, it’s one of the symptoms you might get as you approach your immediate success results… or after.

It’s happening to me as I type this, the last workbook in the #7Step programme. That means I’m getting very near to what I desire to create going public. The whole #7Step Home Study Programme live on a website for people to purchase.

Oh no! People will see me being naked. Not really but I’ll feel as if I were when I deliver this particular ‘baby’ into the world. I’ll be feeling raw, naked and vulnerable in the face of public opinion.

With a bit of luck, I’ll get so sleepy I won’t finish creating the one thousand words I set as my desired result for this morning. Seventy-seven words to go!

“Self-sabotage is the proverbial hammer over the head that finally wakes us up, demanding that we

pay attention.”

Debbie Ford

Section Two – Immediate Success – before and after!

Page 9: Dare to be You 7 Step ProgrammeTMdaretobeyouuk.com/.../02/Step-7-7-Step-Dare-to-be-You.pdfDare to be You Step 7 Workbook 7 In a case like this, recognise that youve been and are an

“All I can do is learn from past mistakes

and move forward.”

Malorie Blackman

This is all a beautiful piece of self-sabotage you might well experience before your immediate result. Particularly just before you complete the last step in creating it. So, be aware and ready to recognise the self-sabotage, acknowledge it and bomb blast your way through it.

Yay! One thousand words typed just now ☺ Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! Even with immediate success results, celebrate every little step along the way too particularly avoiding self-sabotage just like I did.

You can also self-sabotage after getting immediate results success. Sounds a bit bizarre, doesn’t it? Who in their right mind would screw up success? Think of successful footballers who develop a drink problem or pop stars who become obnoxious and their fan base falls away.

Is it that they don’t believe they deserve success? Or get overwhelmed by the responsibility of maintaining success? Or fear it being taken away and so gain control by screwing it up themselves? Who knows?

It happened to me when I first published Steps 1 and 2 of the #7Step programme early in 2017. I’d only let my own database know about the launch and within the first hour of release Steps 1 and 2 sold twenty copies. Shock! Horror! I hadn’t expected such a swift take up.

O M G… Can I develop all the other modules in a timely way? Wow, my first on-line venture and it’s being a success… never! And, oh no, there’s a problem with Paypal not directing purchasers to the page on which they can download their workbooks.

Page 10: Dare to be You 7 Step ProgrammeTMdaretobeyouuk.com/.../02/Step-7-7-Step-Dare-to-be-You.pdfDare to be You Step 7 Workbook 7 In a case like this, recognise that youve been and are an

In one fell swoop, I removed everything from the website. With hindsight, I’m sure I could have found a way round the Paypal problem but I was over-whelmed by an immediate result of success. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you. So be on the lookout for post success self-sabotage!

Unless there’s a very good strategic reason to withdraw, avoid a turn-about if you possibly can.

There’s also the falling into a hole thingee. To cut a long story short…

You walk down the road, don’t see a big hole in the road and fall right in. You climb out and the next time you walk down that road, you see the hole but still fall in. The next time you see that hole, you walk round it and continue to do so for a long time. Then, one day, you walk down the road and fall right back in!

That story is about spirals. We learn in spirals. Let’s say you’ve created what you desire at the third turn of your evolutionary spiral and merrily go on your way. Then at spiral ten of your evolutionary journey up pops what you no longer wanted in your life from spiral three again.

Quelle horreur! You think you’ve fallen back in the hole which, in a way you have. However, this time it’s for refining your desired vision; making it even better. Pay attention to what’s going on and ask, ‘What can I learn from this?’ When you realise what that is, you can refine your desired behaviour into an A+++ model.

“At best, civilisation advances by spirals.”

For example, a client had developed the confidence and assertion to create the reality of her life instead of doing what others thought best for her. A way down the line, she applied for a sideways move in her career to the amazement of her friends. And a bit to her own amazement as well.

Her friends badgered her to reconsider and go for a promotion instead. As they went on at her she began to doubt her decision and feel less confident in herself. When she asked, ‘What can I learn from this?’ she heard the word ‘compassion.’

She didn’t understand what that meant to begin with. However, when she sat with the word compassion, she realised she didn’t want the higher level of stress and more demanding working hours the promotion would entail.

The reason she didn’t apply for it was through having compassion for herself. The extra status and money meant nothing alongside the effect the promotion would have on her wellbeing.

The confidence and assertion to create the reality of her life now included the quality of compassion for self. This refined and gave more power to her originally desired ability.

If you’ve experienced an immediate success of your magnetic vision, answer the questions below…

“If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”

It took me 6 years to qualify as a psychotherapist. To begin with. my desired behaviour, working as a psychotherapist, seemed a very long way away. What sustained me over all those years? Remember your magnetic vision? Well, I had one too.

I was training, working and taking care of my family and home at the same time. With hindsight and a good few decades on, I wonder how on earth I managed it all. However, I know using this #7Step process was a major factor in my success.

It wasn’t the #7Step programme then. I started with some basics and then, as I trained, I learned other elements I could slot in. Then, of course, came my graduation and working officially as a psychotherapist; more elements to slot in.

Then I continued to train in what we call ‘continuing professional development.’ This is an ethical requirement to ongoing training involved in being an accredited professional. Then I was awarded a Masters’ Degree. Then I qualified for being on a Register of Psychotherapists required by the Government. All of which added elements to the #7Step programme.

What have you noticed about my desired behaviour to work as a psychotherapist from the previous two paragraphs? It’s been an ongoing rather than discrete journey. A journey which continues to this day as I learn and develop as a professional as well as a person.

conscious mind on things we desire

not things we fear.”

Page 14: Dare to be You 7 Step ProgrammeTMdaretobeyouuk.com/.../02/Step-7-7-Step-Dare-to-be-You.pdfDare to be You Step 7 Workbook 7 In a case like this, recognise that youve been and are an

Also, my magnetic vision has expanded over the years. In fact, it now includes offering this online home study programme to women at a reasonable cost and in an easy to follow format.

Be aware your magnetic vision might well expand and be refined as you expand and refine yourself.

For example, one of my clients had the magnetic vision of being a fluent French speaker with a life style to match in France. When we met her challenge was that she didn’t speak any French.

First step? Enrol for French language classes and become a French speaker. Once accomplished, what do you think her next step might be? In fact, it was to join a French conversation group to improve her fluency.

Like me, she celebrated every step that took her nearer to her vision. The last I heard was that she had, indeed, moved to France and was enjoying the life-style she desired.

So, if what your desire involves a bit-by-bit journey, take heart. You can use the #7Step process for each of your ‘bits.’ The more you do, the more the #7Step programme comes automatically to you. And the more the whole process becomes a desired habit in itself.

I think the bit-by-bit journey is the usual one for most of us. The beauty of it is that if you take a wrong turn you can always rectify it.

world.”

Which is exactly how the 1969 ‘One Giant Leap for Mankind’ moon landing happened. Not, as I thought, by a meticulously pre-planned A to Z journey. In fact, it occurred through 1) meticulous recording of the space rocket’s flight and 2) making numerous adjustments to its trajectory all the way from earth to moon landing.

That’s what bit-by-bit success allows you to do. Hold your magnetic vision and as you execute each step toward it, monitor your trajectory. If something takes you nearer to your magnetic vision… hurray! And if something takes you away from your magnetic vision, tweak or revise that step until you’re back on track.

Then celebrate, celebrate, celebrate… You too are a star!

If you’ve experienced a bit-by-bit success of your magnetic vision, please answer the following questions…

How has achieving your magnetic vision (the original or tweaked version) felt for you?

What have you learned from your experience?

“A guided missile corrects its

trajectory as it flies...”

The example I gave in this workbook’s introduction was of my client’s vision being achieved but the feelings she experienced at doing so were unexpected. This isn’t unusual.

You get that degree, win the match series, have that fabulous travel adventure, get your qualification, or whatever your thing is. Then you get the ‘aftermath blues.’ ‘OK so what do I do now?’ With your big vision achieved a gaping hole arises.

That’s alright. Those feelings are just part of being human and having been geared towards achieving your magnetic vision for so long. Your system feels the lack of striving to achieve and hasn’t yet realised it can now stand down. Mission accomplished!

Some women launch into their next project to avoid the ‘aftermath blues.’ Other women give themselves time to assimilate where they’ve come from and what they’ve achieved including mourning what’s no longer so.

I recommend the second approach. Remember, that’s how you began your #7Step journey. You looked at where you’d come from and the goodies you could take forward. Always essential for the next step in your life, even if you don’t know what that is yet.

Just to clarify and reassure you, I have never known anyone who’s worked diligently through the #7Steps not get what they desired. However, what can happen is you might realise at some point what you desire or your magnetic vision needs tweaking a bit.

Tweaking is fine throughout the #7Step programme. Remember the 1969 moon landing?

“If you're feeling a little bit down, a bit of kneading helps.”

If the need for tweaking occurs you just go back and tweak. Or move forward and tweak. Or tweak as you go along. In every case, update your magnetic vision as it gets more refined. What you desired in the beginning might end up an even better outcome than you could have first imagined. In this case, it-isn’t-what-I-thought-it-would-be is a welcome experience.

For some, there’s absolutely no need for tweaking. For others, when you achieve your magnetic vision, you see how it could be further improved but decide first to enjoy your current success. Anything goes!

If it-isn’t-what-I-thought-it-would-be has been your experience…

I encourage you to take a moment or two now to thank the Divine Feminine for her support and guidance in going through the process of Step 7.

Close your eyes and, with a hand resting on your heart, feel her loving and wise embrace and know she’s absolutely on your side. Always there for you and your greater good as you reclaim who you really are instead of who you were trained to be.

Ask the Divine Feminine to support you in being mindful of what you desire and your vision. And to remind you at every request or choice by asking, ‘Does this take me nearer to my desire and vision or further away?’

Then, trusting your inner wisdom let her give you a message to support your desire and vision, lift off and after. As always, take whatever message you get, even if you think it’s ‘nothing’ or bizarre. Its meaning, including that of ‘nothing,’ will unfold.

Finally, thank the Divine Feminine for showing herself to you in these moments.

Write below the message she gave you…

grow.”

Congratulations whether you’re already living your desired vision, in the lift off and after phase, or taking action steps towards it. In all cases, you’re actively creating yourself and your life in line with what you desire.

That’s a real triumph, superb one!

Plus you can use the #7Step process for any issue you want to change in your life, excluding depression or a diagnosed illness. And the more you use the programme the more its components become second nature to you. So much so that eventually you won’t even need the workbooks.

As well as heartily congratulating you, I’m also feeling a little sad. Although we might not have ever met, I feel as though I’ve travelled with you word by word and now it’s time to say goodbye. So our parting is a little bitter-sweet for me. Bitter in the goodbye and so very sweet in you achieving what you desire for yourself and your life.

Do let us know how you’re getting on by posting on our forum. Even now, feel free to ask any questions or raise any topics related to the #7Step Dare to be You Programme™

You are now a life-long member of the forum. So, do keep in touch as I hope to develop more goodies for you over time. And if you haven’t yet become a member of our #daretobeyou women’s community, you can sign up here with our Morning Inspiration.
