Daniel 11:30 For the ships ofChittim shall come against him:therefore he shall be grieved,

The "ships of Chittim ofverse 30 are theVandals. Their continued

military success wasweakening Rome, and asthe emperor of Eastern

Rome went out to do battleagainst them, he was

defeated, or "grieved."

In an attempt to oppose the Arian beliefs of the three horns of theHeruli, Goths, and Vandals, Justinian appointed the bishop of Rome asthe head of the Christian church and the corrector of heretics. By

doing so he had indignation against the holy covenant," and had"intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant." Thus was the

transition of Roman power from pagan to papal under way.

Verse 29 described the closingscenes of pagan Rome's

authority. Here we see Constantinemoving the capital away from Rome

at the "time appointed." In verse 30we see his "indignation against theholy covenant" as he introduces the

first Sunday laws.

We are told that when the UnitedStates passes a national Sunday

law, national apostasy will befollowed by national ruin. After

Constantine issues his Sunday laws

the Roman Empire begins tocrumble. In former years whenRome warred against their enemiesthey found victory --but no longer.

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuaryof strength, and shall take away the daily {sacrifice}, and they shallplace the abomination that maketh desolate.This concise history shows us the method by which Papal Rome rose toworld dominance, replacing Pagan Rome; "Arms shall stand on his part".

This happened in the year 508 AD, when Clovis, king of France pledgedhimself to fight for the Pope, and the nations of Europe soon followedhis example, except for three, The Huruli, the Vandals and theOstragoths, which were finally defeated and wiped out. Notice thatwhen Pagan Rome rose to world dominion, it had to conquer 3 areas;

when Papal Rome rose, it had to conquer 3 nations.

32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt byflatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and doexploits. 33 And they that understand among the people shall instructmany: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by

spoil, many days.This is describing the 1260 years of Papal rule from 538 AD to 1798.

Here we are shown the church in the wilderness- the true believers whohad to flee to the mountains in those days. It says in verse 32 that they

know their God. What a wonderful tribute to those faithful ones!

Our verse tells us how those faithful ones worked hard to teach othersand keep the Word of God alive during those terrible years. It also tellsof the many ways that wicked men, under Satans control, took the lives

of those dear faithful believers.Daniel 7:25 says, they (the faithful) would be given into his hands forthese years. Have you ever wondered why God allowed this cruel powerto do all this in the name of religion? Well, God has a purpose - he has

allowed Satan to show what his kind of government is like. All the angelsthat remained in heaven and the other worlds that did not sin, they can

see just what Satans rule brings. He cant fool them any more.

But why is Satan still fooling people on earth? It is taking a longertime for people on earth to learn the lesson because most of themstill choose to believe Satans lies and enjoy his so-called pleasures.

Gods true people will know that Satan is a liar and a murderer.

I hope it can be said of each one of us that we know our God!

Daniel 11: 34, 35 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with alittle help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of

them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to makethem white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time

appointed.Take a good look at these verses- because they show that although God

allowed Satan to have his own way in the world for a while; God haddecided to allow it for only a certain time period - the 1260 years. The

time of the end that this verse talks about is the end of that time

prophecy of the 1260 years.

The warning is seen here that some of the faithful would be fooledby people who pretended to be their friends - and flattered them.

Then they were tricked and killed. This happened to theWaldenses, and in France at the time of the St. Bartholomewsmassacre, also in Ireland, it happened. When Rome is friendly;

watch out!

The angel tells about some help that God would send to His dear ones.This little help was the reformation, which began hundreds of years

before the end of the 1260 years. It slowed down the persecution a bitat least.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:22 except those days should be shortened,there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days

shall be shortened. Again, it was the reformation that shortened thosedays. When sad, bad days come, we can know our Heavenly Father is in

charge and will shorten the days in love.

Daniel 11:36, 37 And theking shall do according to

his will; and he shall exalthimself, and magnifyhimself above every god,and shall speak marvelousthings against the God of

gods, and shall prosper tillthe indignation beaccomplished: for that

that is determined shall bedone. Neither shall heregard the God of his

fathers, nor the desire ofwomen, nor regard any god:

for he shall magnifyhimself above all.

Some think that this could notstill mean Papal Rome becausethey claim to honor God. BUT-

we also know that Rome claimsto be able to CHANGE Godsvery LAW - which even Godsays He wont do! (Matthew5:18 For verily I say unto you,

Till heaven and earth pass, onejot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law, till allbe fulfilled.)Is it not magnifying himself

above every god to tell thepeople to ignore Gods HolyWord and obey him instead?Calling himself the one whospeaks for God on this earth -this power certainly speaks

against the God of gods.

which likely refers toChrist, as faithful womendown through history untilthe birth of Jesus, longedto be the one chosen to be

the mother of theMessiah. This verse alsomentions the Desire of

women which likely refersto Christ, as faithfulwomen down through

history until the birth ofJesus, longed to be theone chosen to be the

mother of the Messiah.

The Papacy shows Jesus nearly always either as a cookie in a box ormonstrance - a baby in Mary's arms - or hanging dead on the cross!

So this power doesn't regard the God of their fathers, or Jesus, or anyGod, because he sets himself above all Divine authority.He shall continue in this attitude until the 'indignation be accomplished'.What is this indignation? It refers to the 7 last plagues of God's wrath.

So this power will continue to exult and magnify himself and do

according to his own will until the end of time on this earth.

Daniel 11:38 But in his estateshall he honour the God offorces: and a god whom hisfathers knew not shall he honourwith gold, and silver, and withprecious stones, and pleasantthings.To understand this verse weneed to look at the Hebrewwords. God of forces in this

verse can also mean goddess offortresses.

Now if you see a picture of thegoddess Dianna that Paul talksabout; you will see that she hasa castle on her head. Yes shewears a tower for a hat. She

was called Goddess ofFortresses. This went back intime to the first 'goddess'Semeramis, the wife of Nimrod,who first built a city with a wallaround it to protect it. Thegoddess Cybel is also depictedthis way.

It was the city of Ephesus that was especially attached to worshippingDianna. And it was at the council of Ephesus that the Roman church

decided to declare Mary as the 'Mother of God' and 'Queen of

Heaven'.

Now the early Roman church needed to bring in a Mother and Child

symbol into the church, as the sun-worshippers loved their goddess offortresses and her child, the sun-god, Apollo. SO - they changed thename to Mary, mother of Jesus. They created a new god, whom his

fathers knew not; and honored her with money and so on. Remember,prophecy is given to show us that God loves His people and we can have

faith in Him. What He said would happen, has happened - exactly!

Notice the gold, and silver, precious stones, and pleasant things decorating

these Idols!
