2015 ADAM BARRUCH DANCE AUGUST 31 – SEPTEMBER 26 Dear DANCEworks Fans and Friends, For the past six years, we’ve been giving choreographers a chance to realize their dreams during a month-long creative residency onstage at the Lobero Theatre. This year, the inspired young choreographer Adam Barruch, along with his company dancers and community participants, will create a new work to the thrilling music of Sweeney Todd. Adam’s secured Stephen Sondheim’s permission to use his brilliant score to create a new form of physical theatre. I have chills realizing that a dream I have had for so many years is, indeed, coming into fruition … The material of Sweeney Todd is alive for me, and the possibilities are become endless. I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity to have a DANCEworks residency. – Adam Barruch This is Year Seven for DANCEworks!
