Orosi Valley and Chira Island, Costa Rica and Independence, Belize Planned a medical missions trip to benefit the underserved patients of the Orosi Valley and Chira Island, Costa Rica (‘09) and Independence, Belize (‘10). Worked closely with the sponsoring missions organization along with led weekly team meetings. Precepted 4 students on their Pharmacy Missions elective clerkship during their fourth year (’09).

May 08 Workship Service Project Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy Palm Beach Atlantic University Orosi Valley and Los Chiles, Costa Rica

Led a team of 23 pharmacy students and faculty in order to provide medical services to Nicaraguan refugees and residents of Los Chiles and Orosi. Taught patient care skills such as blood pressure and glucose meter technique to students and reviewed basic compounding/dosing practices.

Lead team of 18 pharmacy and nursing students and faculty to provide medical services to residents in Independence. Taught compounding skills to local pharmacist and technician. Assisted in leading children’s evangelism programming through a local church.
