Nursery Daily Activities for Home
Here are some key skills we would like your child to continue practicing at home each day if possible. Below are the subjects and the skills your child will gain from practicing them at home.
Physical - Carry on the patterns!
Can you have a go at making these patterns at home using paper and a pen? Say the pattern and draw! Monday
“Make lines short and long, put them around the page with this song!”
Tuesday
“1, 2, 3, 4, 4 sides for your square.”
Wednesday
“Lines go down, down, down, then across, cross, cross”
Thursday

Maths
Yay we have got to our last number on 1 hand - 5!

Monday - How many high fives can you do in your home?
Count out your fingers, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5! Can you find someone else with 5 fingers. Count them and give them a high five! How many hands can you find to do a high five?
Tuesday - Write number 1 to 5 on lego/blocks and see if you can put it in order!
Ordering numbers from 1 to 5!
If you want a challenge - go to 10 or if you want 20!
Other games you can play with the lego/blocks:
- Take a number away - what number is missing?
- Mix the order up - can you remember which colour was which number?
- Can you order from 3 to 5, then 2 to 4?
Wednesday - All about the number 5!

Can you do the tasks of counting up to 5?
Now make your own tasks with the
number 5 at home!
Thursday - Counting with blocks!
Count to 5 with blocks in different ways. Can you create your own game?
Friday - Draw the Number 5!
Have a go at writing the number 5! Can you write it in 5 places?
