Join us every Thursday at 6:00PM in the Convent Meeting Center chapel for Vespers.

ADVENT VESPERS

Advent every Sunday evening at 6:00PM in the church. We will be doing simple plain-song chant for the Advent Season and there is always easy instruction before we begin.

Please come and pray the universal prayer of the church.

HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS

BEGINNING December 14th through the holi-day season the office hours will be from 9AM until 2PM. The office will be closed December 22nd through January 2nd.

SIMBANG GABI

We are honored once again this year to host the Filipino faith community’s traditional Novena to our Lady Sambang Gabi Mass on December 17th at the Noon Mass. Food will be served af-terwards in Holy Rosary School auditorium.

SCHOOL MASS ANNOUNCEMENT

There are no school Masses through the remainder of the year. Holy Rosary School / Juan Diego Acad-emy will resume school Mass on Fridays at 9:00AM in January.

OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE December 12th at 7:00PM

We will be having an evening Mass to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. Readings will be in English and we will sing both in Spanish and Eng-lish.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS

In order to help Sister Hanh create an outstanding Christmas floral display we are collecting donations for Christmas Flowers this weekend and the following. Checks can be made out to Holy Rosary Parish and designate “FLOWERS”. Thank you.

THE ANGELUS! What’s going on before the Noon Mass?

We had a false start last week but for sure we are starting this week with the Angelus at Noon. There are guides in the pews and the Choir will be singing the music parts. You are welcome to sing along with the musical responses. And everyone is invited to pray the Hail Mary.

GIVE YOUR TIME

Just two hours a week? The Holy Rosary Parish office needs help with easy tasks such as answering phones, copying, and filing. Shifts are two hours. Please call Laurie at the parish office.

DECORATING TIME! December 22nd after Daily Mass

We will be decorating the church on Friday December 22nd after the morning Mass until about Noon or until it’s done. Your help is needed. Please contact the office. We will be in need of many hands to put lights on the trees and prepare the holy altar for the Christmas Day Masses.

CANDLELIGHT MASS! December 16th

The Advent Candlelight Mass at Dawn, Rorate (ro-RAH-tay) Mass, is a beautiful tradition worthy of our observance. This Mass honors Our Lady in a

very special way during the Ad-vent season. It will be celebrated on Saturday, December 16 at 6:00AM by guest celebrant, Fr. Kyle Mangloña. The choir is busily preparing the

polyphony, Father Mangloña will be chanting the Mass, the read-ings will all be chanted, and we are inviting the entire Tacoma Catholic faith community. This is our opportunity to put

our Benedictine hospitality to work. We are serving breakfast after this Mass but many hands are needed. Please contact and leave your name at the Parish of-fice if you are able to lend a hand in any way!
