SAFETY RULES

We would like your attention for some of regular safety recommendations that are

extremely important for all participants:

Always use the official transport.

Never walk alone.

Do not leave purse sand bags on the benche or crowded places. Look for a

place where your whole team can gather the bags altogether, making it easier

to notice any suspicious attitudes.

Avoid handling money in front of strangers, especially if you are dealing with

large amounts of money.

In case you are leaving your cell phone inside your bag, put it on silent mode.

Do not carry all your personal documents (ID, Passport, creditcards)all the time

in the same place. There is a safe in your room.

In case you have a bag or purse, use it by your side and close to you, not at your

back. Avoid opening it on the streets. In case you need to get something on the

bag, try to get inside a store or somewhere safer than the streets.

Always keep money and documents on separate pockets. In case you are using

a wallet, put it on your front pocket.

GENERAL ORIENTATIONS FROM MEDICAL COORDINATION

Sports arenas: There will be a nurse and a physiotherapist for first aid care. If

necessary, the athlete will be taken by ambulance to hospital. All participants

who require hospital treatment will be initially treated for 24 hours on showing

their accreditation card. The organizing committee should be contacted to

arrange the athlete’s return to the hotel/arena.

Any player taken to hospital must be accompanied by an adult from their

delegation.

Observations:

1. In the case of medical problems outside the place and time of competition, the

person responsible for the delegation must contact the OC by calling the phone

numbers available in this bulletin.

2. 24 hours medical care will be available at local hospitals.

CARE WITH DEHYDRATION AND SUN EXPOSURE

Due to the climatic characteristics of Agra, known for its high temperatures,

where the average temperatures can reach up to 48ºC, it is recommended to

watch out for dehydration symptoms, which is common due to the increased

sweating provoked by the heat, besides regular episodes of diarrhea, provoked

by gastrointestinal infections.

We would also like to remind you of the importance of wearing sunscreen. It

should be used even in cloudy days.

CARE WITH WATER CONSUMPTION

Always drink mineral water, as tap water in Agra is not safe for consumption.

There will be mineral water available to the delegations at the competition

sites and at the hotel you are hosted. Do not drink water from unknown

sources.

CARE WITH FOOD TRUCKS AND INDEPENDENT SELLERS

Watch out for food from independent sellers on the street. Remember that our

city is extremely hot and that food is easily perishable; try to eat only from

accredited restaurants.
