If you or your child sees a threat of violence posted on social media, report it immediately to our anonymoustip line, (919) 856-1911, your school administration or law enforcement.
Remind your child not to share or forward until law enforcement has had a chance to investigate. Sharingthreats spreads misinformation, causes panic and disruption for families, and could quickly result inconsequences for your child.

GLOBAL POINTS OF PROGRESS - United States: Arizona’s expanded Silver Alert system is helping recover persons withdevelopmental disabilities. Originally designed for missing older adults diagnosed with dementia, Silver Alerts function similarlyto Amber Alerts, with public notices issued through highway signs, news broadcasts, phone messages, and social media. Theoverall number of individuals safely recovered following a Silver Alert grew from 60 in 2015 to 131 last year, according to statefigures.

Swim & Dive preseason workouts will begin on October 5 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. We will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at theweight room in the back of Holliday. All participants must have completed their Dragonfly registration. See Coach Shelow if you haveany questions.

Wrestling - if you are interested in wrestling, the season begins November 1. Coach Blumell is currently holding pre-seasonworkouts. School officials will follow WCPSS Health Guidelines to determine if a student is required to isolate. If you are not feeling well, you
are required to stay home and notify [email protected] of your absence. During a required isolation, your absences willbe recorded as excused absences for illness. If you are required to isolate, below are the measures in place that will support you asyou continue your coursework:
○ You can connect with your counselor for support by setting up a meeting with them here.○ You should complete the coursework provided for you by your teachers in their Google Classroom or Canvas site.○ You can attend an office hour with your teacher, which is offered once per week:
■ Some teachers will offer this office hour during their regularly scheduled weekly office hours by hosting aGoogle Meet;
■ Other teachers may choose to schedule this individually with you. Please reach out to your teacher toschedule this time.

Juniors (Class of 2023) and Seniors (Class of 2022) with an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher should have receivedan invitation to apply to the National Honor Society in their school e-mail last week. The invitation included information foraccessing the application in the NHS Google Classroom. Seniors who were inducted during 2020-2021 do not need toreapply. We are offering two optional application writing workshops on 9/22 and 9/29 in room 2312. Applications must besubmitted by Friday, 10/1 @ 2:30 PM in the Google Classroom.
