Chana surges up on festive demand

Cardamom gains on arrival pressure

Chana in intraday is expected to trade sideways to up on rising demand from the

physical market for the upcoming festive season. The current predictions with respect to

monsoon and sowing acreage point towards downward projections of Kharif output and

restricted arrivals from the producing regions may also support the uptrend.

Pepper futures are expected to trade positive due to limited stocks in the physical

market ahead weak arrivals from the producing regions. Rising demand for the

upcoming festive seasons also supported the uptrend. Turmeric prices are expected to

trade sideways to negative note extending the previous losses. Overall weak trend amid

poor demand from north India buyers is likely to pressurize the prices. Cardamom

prices are expected to trade sideways to up owing to rising demand from the domestic

market amid weak arrivals from the producing regions. Guar seed futures are expected

to trade negative to sideways due to active selling by the traders on the back of

subdued demand in the spot market. A fall in export demand may also limit the uptrend.
