DAFI SCHOLARSHIP SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT

1. The sponsorship is for the academic year 2016/2017 only, and may be renewed in subsequent sessions, subject to availability of funds, and upon receipt of progress reports (detailed year-end results) from the Head of your institution or faculty.

2. The sponsorship is tenable only for the institution/university and course of study indicated. It is therefore not transferable to any other institution or university and any other subject/course of study without prior approval by TDH IT and UNHCR.

3. You are expected to abide by the rules and regulations of your institution or university. Any dishonesty or misbehaviour towards your lectures, TDH IT and UNHCR staff will result in the prompt termination of your scholarship.

4. You will not at the same time apply for, or receive scholarship funds from another agency, persons or organizations without informing TDH IT. Failure to do so will result in immediate withdrawal of your scholarship.

5. Repeated absence from classes without valid justification, lack of effort, or misbehaviour will lead to the termination of your scholarship assistance. In the case of poor performance in year-end examinations, TDH IT and UNHCR will withdraw your scholarship.

6. Should your academic performance be below an acceptable standard (60/100), TDH IT and UNHCR have the right to insist on your transfer to a more suitable course of studies, which may be of shorter duration; or to take any other appropriate action, as a condition for continuation of the scholarship.

7. You are required to consult and propose to TDH IT plans with regard to the semester holidays. You are expected to undertake constructive activities related to your studies, such as community work, internship, paid employment or additional courses.

8. During the course of the semester, you are expected to participate in volunteering activities.9. You are obliged to inform TDH IT if you decide to apply for any resettlement programme implemented

by UNHCR or other partner organisations during the term of this Agreement and if you are granted a scholarship.

10. In case of unforeseen closure of your institution or university, allowances will be continued up to a maximum of 3 months, during which you should undertake activities relevant to your course study.

11. Your annual entitlement under this scholarship shall cover part or all of tuition, credit or examination fees, and other approved institutional or university charges of a maximal amount of 900$. You will also receive monthly contributions to support you with book, clothing, food, local transportation and living.

12. Financial support for the purchase of study equipment, research/field allowances and thesis allowances will be granted if funds are available. They will be provided against a letter from your academic supervisor or Dean of Faculty specifying the costs involved.

13. The personal allowances will be paid to you monthly and available on your dedicated ATM Card, to be received during the orientation day. Please note that advance payments cannot be made during the course of the academic year.

14. It is the aim of the DAFI Programme to assist you to complete your studies successfully and to maintain a network of alumni students. In order to remain informed of your progress, TDH IT and UNHCR kindly requests that you:

a. Complete the UNHCR form for DAFI scholars six months after your graduation (or earlier if employment is obtained).

b. Inform TDH IT office of when and where you obtained employment and in what position.c. Inform TDH IT office and where available, DAFI Clubs, of your contact address for a period of

at least two years.
