Liebe Leserinnen und Leser,
In Athen dreht sich im Augenblick alles um
die Kunst: Am 8. April eröffnet erstmals
eine documenta außerhalb Deutschlands
und lädt zum deutsch-griechischen Kunst-
dialog an über 40 verschiedenen Orten in
der Stadt ein. Ein Besuch lohnt sich in je-
dem Fall.
Auch der DAAD hat in der Vergangenheit
immer wieder verschiedene Kunstprojekte
unterstützt. Von 2014-2016 konnte z.B. das
Survival Kit realisiert werden – eine Initiati-
ve, die den Austausch von Studierenden
zwischen der Akademie der bildenden
Künste München und der Athens School of
Fine Arts zum Ziel hatte. Ergebnis dieser
Zusammenarbeit waren zahlreiche Som-
merschulen, gemeinsame Ausstellungen
und Workshops sowie die Schaffung eines
eigenen project space. Auf

Veranstaltungen.
Außerdem freuen wir uns, dass sich die
Regisseurin Athina Rachel Tsangari einen
der begehrten Plätze im Berliner Künstler-
programm sichern konnte. Anlass für uns,
Ihnen eine Übersicht aller griechischen
Stipendiaten in diesem Programm zu ge-
ben (S. 7).

Kennen Sie unsere Webinarserie schon?
Seit diesem Jahr bietet unser Büro erstmals
dieses Format an. Bei einem Webinar kön-
nen Sie entspannt zuhause an ihrem Lap-
top, Tablet, PC oder Handy unseren Vor-
trägen folgen und dann anschließend im
Chat Fragen stellen. Bisher haben wir
schon vier Webinare zu verschiedenen
Themen rund um das Studium in Deutsch-
land angeboten. Weitere werden folgen.
Schauen Sie bei den Veranstaltungshin-
weisen, wann wir welches Webinar anbie-
ten. Die Anmeldung erfolgt direkt über einen
Link und ist kostenlos (S. 4).
Erstmals werden wir in Zusammenarbeit mit
der DAAD-Zentrale und den Kolleginnen und
Kollegen in Rom und Madrid eine Hoch-
schulmesse als Webinar abhalten. 15 Uni-
versitäten und Institutionen präsentieren sich
an drei Tagen vom 26.-28. April. Lassen Sie
sich die Chance nicht entgehen, direkt mit
den Hochschulvertretern ins Gespräch zu

Nachdem wir in den letzten beiden Jahren
erfolgreich ein Falling Walls Lab in Griechen-
land organsiert hatten, laden wir wieder
Nachwuchswissenschaftler und Jungunter-
nehmer ein, die Jury innerhalb von drei Minu-
ten von ihrem Projekt zu überzeugen. Das
Lab findet dieses Jahr in Patras am Donners-
tag, den 25. Mai statt und die Siegerin reist
zum Finale nach Berlin (S. 3).
Natürlich sind wir in den kommenden Wo-
chen nicht nur per Webinar zu sehen, son-
dern werden auch weiterhin Schulen und
Hochschulen für Vorträge besuchen (S. 2).

The Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences will introduce a new bachelor programme “In-ternational Business, BSc” taught in English over 7 se-mesters, starting winter semester 2017/18. The study pro-gramme will develop the understanding of international business in a globalized world. Based on the latest theo-retical concepts of business administration the study pro-gramme equips students with the key business skills to work successfully in an international business environ-ment. The study programme will be offered at the Campus in Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin. Learning of a second foreign language is compulsory. It includes a flexible mobility window for internships and/or study abroad semesters. The admission requirements are as follows:
Entrance qualification for a University of Applied Sci-
ences (Fachhochschule); Entrance qualification for university; Entrance qualification acknowledged as equivalent by
the competent authorities.
International students must show proficiency in English: at least B2+ level according to the Common European Framework of References for Languages. Application deadline is 15th July for the following winter semester. Falling Walls Lab Greece sucht talentierte Nach-
wuchswissenschaftler und Unternehmer
____________________________________________
Herausragende, talentierte Nachwuchswissenschaftler
und Unternehmer können sich ab sofort für das nächs-
te Falling Walls Lab Greece bewerben, welches dieses
Jahr in Patras stattfindet. Dort können sie innerhalb von
drei Minuten ihre innovative Idee vorzustellen. Das
Falling Walls Lab findet weltweit statt und richtet sich
an Studenten, Promovierende, Postdocs, junge Wis-
senschaftler und Unternehmer mit innovativen For-
schungsprojekten aller Fachrichtungen, Initiativen so-
wie Unternehmenskonzepten.
Der Gewinner des Falling Walls Lab Greece wird ne-
ben 100 weiteren Finalisten aus der ganzen Welt am
Finale des Falling Walls Lab in Berlin teilnehmen, wel-
ches am 8. November 2017 stattfindet, sowie einen
Tag später an der Falling Walls Conference. Jeder
Finalist hat auch hier drei Minuten Zeit, um seine For-
schungsarbeit oder seine unternehmerische Initiative
vor einer hochkarätigen Jury, bestehend aus Forschern
und Unternehmern, vorzustellen. Die drei Gewinner
bekommen abgesehen vom Geldpreis auch die Mög-
lichkeit, am nächsten Tag ihre Idee auf der großen
Bühne der Falling Walls Conference zu präsentieren.
Das Falling Walls Lab hat zum Ziel, innovative wissen-
schaftliche und unternehmerische Ideen ausgezeichne-
ter Wissenschaftler und Unternehmer aus unterschied-
lichen Fachrichtungen und Arbeitsgebieten zu fördern.
Das Falling Walls Lab Greece findet am 25. Mai 2017
im Hotel Byzantino in Patras statt. Bewerben kann man

Die documenta14 in Athen. Ein histori-
sches Ereignis. _____________________________________________
Die documenta gilt als eine der bedeutendsten Messen
zeitgenössischer Kunst weltweit, wird seit 1955 tradi-
tionell in Kassel alle fünf Jahre (zu Beginn alle vier Jah-
re) ausgetragen und dauert insgesamt 100 Tage an.
Zum ersten Mal wagt die documenta14 was Neues:

vom 8. April bis zum 16. Juli 2017 und in Kassel vom
10. Juni bis zum 17. September 2017, wobei die Künst-
ler an beiden Orten arbeiten und sich mit ihnen künst-
lerisch auseinandersetzen werden. Schon Monate vor-
her besuchten Künstler Athen, und kurz vor Beginn ist
vor allem im Stadtzentrum Athens die documenta
deutlich zu spüren.
Das «Voneinander lernen» ist im Slogan des DAAD
«Change by Exchange» definiert. Wie auch die Wissen-
schaft, kennt auch die Kunst keine Grenzen, wofür sich
insbesondere auch das Berliner-Künstlerprogramm des
DAAD einsetzt und weltweit bekannte Künstler einlädt,
in Berlin zu leben und zu wirken, darunter auch sehr
viele Griechen. Wir nehmen die documenta14 als An-
lass, um diese bedeutenden griechischen Künstler zu
rühmen. Athina Rachel Tsangari wurde in diesem Jahr
für dieses Programm ausgewählt, womit Griechenland
– verglichen mit seiner Einwohnerzahl – mit insgesamt
19 Stipendiaten in diesem Programm glänzen kann.
