1. The DA40’s bubble canopy provides a panoramic view, adding to your situational awareness as well as the enjoyment of each flight. Fighter jet-like, the front canopy lifts up for easy entry to the front seats. An aft door lifts for easy access to the back seats and to the baggage compartment behind the seats.

2. The Garmin G1000 glass cockpit with fully integrated Garmin GFC 700 digital autopilot offers unparalleled situational awareness using the two 10 inch screens, with traffic, weather, terrain and chart information. A well laid out panel puts all switches and controls within easy

reach. The adjustable electroluminescent panel lights and backlight aluminum etched panel ensures switches, breakers and controls are easily located and identified in night conditions. Electrically operated rudder pedals adjust to allow pilots of differing sizes to fit comfortably in the cockpit.

3. The DA40 is a breeze to load – just open the aft door and fold the rear seats forward. The generous 4-Way Baggage Compartment accommodates your weekend luggage as well as longer items such as skis and golf clubs. A hidden compartment stores briefcases and laptops.

4. Anti-submarine seats and Amsafe Inflatable Restraints further increase the occupant protection of the DA40’s 26G cabin. A 406 MHz ELT and electronic carbon monoxide detector is included.

5. Overhead lights for all four seats offer easy chart or book reading in low light conditions. Overhead vents provide air direction control.

6. Responsive dual control sticks smoothly connect to the control surfaces. Electric elevator trim, autopilot disconnect and a push-to-talk are all built in.

ICT (Infrared Controlled Technology) 100% genuine leather is on all seating surfaces. The same leather as used on all BMW convertibles, it reflects IR rays in direct sunlight and maintains 20°C lower surface temperature than traditional leathers.

Seats have been redesigned for improved lumbar contour.

The DA40 XLT is available in interior colors of Oyster Gray or Champagne Beige with choice of Carbon Weave or Walnut Burl accents. The new color schemes are used throughout the interior including on seating, side panels, overhead panels and trim wheel.

Embossed, padded headrests

The Hobbs meter is located just ahead of the pilot outboard storage pocket.

Rosen see-through sunvisors reduce heat and glare.

The trim panel on the lower edge of the instru-ment panel is styled in Carbon Weave or Walnut Burl to match the trim wheel cover and other accents, and connects to the center tunnel.

Rear seat pockets hold cell phones and magazines. Cup holders have Walnut Burl or Carbon Weave accents

Redesigned footwells allow passengers to stretch out and the MP3 / XM radio jack is conveniently located with the headphone jacks.

The remolded trim wheel cover and narrowed seat buckle area increases the width of each seat by 1 inch. A mini-pocket on the pilot inboard side panel conveniently stores smart phones or electronic devices.

The lower seat cushions and seat back covers easily remove for cleaning or to be replaced.
