Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) is a Public Charitable Trust

registered under the Society’s Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust

Act.

Biomedical Engineering students Mr. Parth Repe, Mr.Kevin shah & Mr. Gururaj Masali (Group “Elixir Biomedical”) (Project titled ‘Saline Level Detector’), Won First prize & a “Certificate of Special Achievement” Prize worth Rs.1,00,000/- at Project presentation at Business Plan competition “Meraki 2014” organized by Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi, held during 17th & 18th February 2014.

T.E. Electronics Engineering students namely, Chitalia Vibhav, Sanghvi Saumil & Thakkar Khyati (Group-4) – Project Titled “Flight Simulator” Stood 2nd and also Doshi Alok & Gathani Shreyans (Group-3) Project titled “Air Guitar” Stood 3rd in Mumbai zone at Inter-Collegiate Research Convention “Avishkar 2013-14” organized by University of Mumbai.

Varun Ganatra & Rohit Thakur of S.E. Chemical Engineering students won 1st prize for paper titled ‘Sulphur Removal by Thispaq Process’ at National level Technical paper Presentation “RSCIENCE 2K14”, organized by Bhartividyapeeth College of Engineering on 11th March 2014.

DJS Racing, ‘Formula Student Team’ of the college participated in the International Race Car Design Competition ‘Formula Student Germany’ held in Hockenheim, Germany, during the last week of July & first week of August 2014. They were among the top 3 teams participating in the competition from Mumbai.

B.E. Information Technology students Jay Shah, Pooja Shah & Tapan Desai received the ‘Best Project Award’ for Final Year Project title ‘Smart Glass’ sponsored by TCS.

20 students of T.E. and 20 students of B.E. Information Technology participated in the prestigious ‘CODEVITA’ all India level completion organized by TCS in August 2014.

Inter University Western Zonal Quiz’ held at Mahirishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, Rajasthan, on 20-11-2014 – Stood 1st. He will also represent University of Mumbai at the National Level at Indore in February 2015.

‘Spentium’ (Sports+Entertainment) and Ingenium (Gernal) quizzes, Micanvas, held at Mudra Institute of Communications and Advertising, Ahmedabad on 16-11-2014 – Stood 1st and won Rs.30,000/-.
