D MY DORMANT TRIGGER ALARM
WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE A DORMANT ALARM TRIGGER:
You are an optimistic and “big picture” thinker, and eager to start new projects. As a result, you are less likely to earn attention by focusing on negative consequences. ALARM personalities pay attention to deadlines and details in order to avoid potential problems. By focusing more on the bigger picture, you tend to be less concerned with the nuts and bolts about how to get something done and the milestones involved. You prefer to lock in on a goal and use your instincts to move forward, not fearing missteps.
HOW THIS AFFECTS YOUR PERSONALITY BRAND:
• Rather than focusing on deadlines and structure, you enthusiastically pursue opportunities. You tend to steer toward a goal rather than become mired in the details of how to get there.
• You are perceived as optimistic. Your ‘can do’ attitude invigorates those around you and makes them want to follow you. You usually don’t look at how something can fail but, rather, tend to focus on how it can succeed. Although you recognize that failure is a part of life, it doesn’t keep you from pursuing your goals. This is unlike ALARM personalities, who are practical and cautious.
• You bring an open and adventurous spirit to your work. You tend to embrace ambiguous assignments and unknown challenges. Your quest for variety and new experience usually means you move head-on into areas and ideas that ALARM personalities, might avoid.
SHOULD YOU LEARN HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR ALARM TRIGGER?
• In certain situations, you’ll want to ramp up your use of the ALARM trigger in order to add a sense of structure and predictability. For instance, imagine you have a nervous new client. You’ll want to spell out all the specifics of your process, including the budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• You thrive in situations that allow you to design your own path. Avoid jobs that are highly regimented or tightly controlled. You’re unlikely to be your most successful if forced to constantly measure and manage each meticulous detail.
MY DORMANT TRIGGER: ALARM
ALARM
My dormant trigger is ALARM.14% of the people who took theFascination Advantage test also use ALARMas their dormant trigger.

Your innovative approach has given you the reputation of being one-of-a-kind.
You are always looking to create the next great thing. You have an uncanny ability to spot opportunity and turn it into success.
You inspire others to see the way forward. They look to you for ideas about what they should be doing, what they should be wearing, and how they should be acting. Your demonstrative style and boldly creative thinking make people take notice. Customers and employees are eager to incorporate your ideas.
You are a strong leader in your organization. You are physi-cally and mentally competitive and successful. People watch your actions and thinking carefully, in order to learn and imitate.
You might have the tendency to become so wrapped up in your vision for the future that you miss the opportunity to connect in a real and consistent way. In this case others might perceive you as superficial or frivolous. Take time to be in the moment, and focus on connecting with the people around you.

ACTION PLAN LEVERAGING THE STRENGTHS OF THE AVANT-GARDE FOR PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS
IN THIS REPORT, YOU’VE DISCOVERED HOW YOUR PERSONALITY NATURALLYFASCINATES OTHERS. NOW IT’S TIME TO PUT THIS LEARNING INTO ACTION. THESEARE YOUR FIRST 3 ACTION STEPS TO START BUILDING IMMEDIATE INFLUENCE.
KNOW WHEN TO RECOGNIZE A CLOSING OPPORTUNITY
People often respond to your creative ideas with the reaction, “Wow, I’ve never thought about it that way, but I love it.” Capture their energy, and use it to your immediate advantage, because it can be difficult to maintain such an enthusiastic response over time. Plan for this flash of inspiration. Build the drama around your reveal. And whenever possible, close the sale immediately afterwards.
SHARE YOUR VISION CLEARLY
Your best ideas often come to you quickly. You also know instantly what you like, and don’t like. Therefore, create a system that allows you to quickly vet your employees’ ideas so no one wastes time pursuing something that doesn’t match your vision.
STAY GROUNDED
You are naturally plugged in to new business prospects, trends and opportunities to meet new people. However, it’s important to also stay grounded. Use the TRUST trigger to balance curiosity with consistency.
ADDING VALUE:UNDERSTANDING HOW YOUR PERSONALITY ADDS DISTINCT VALUE
The more that you can understand how your personality adds distinct and unique value, the more you can control and replicate your successes.
The goal is to make success an intentional and controllable act, rather than a series of lucky breaks. This all starts with identifying and applying your Fascination Advantage.
Think about your “Top 5 Unique Competitive Advantages” listed on the previous page. Apply each adjective to your job, and how you add value at work.
When you look back upon your career successes, and see these successes not as isolated incidences but as guideposts for your overall personality strengths, you can find the consistent patterns in your achievements.

ANALYTICS
INTENSITY OF MY TRIGGERS
MY TRIGGER PERCENTAGES
MY TRIGGERS, COMPARED TO AVERAGE POPULATION
How intense is your use of each trigger? This graph shows the strength of each trigger in your personality. The scores have been normalized to a 10-point scale. The higher the score the more intense your use of that trigger. You use all the triggers, but your top two triggers (your Primary and Secondary triggers) are the ones that most shape your personal brand.
This chart shows the percentage of each trigger in your personality.
Take note: Do you have a very high percentage of one trigger? A high percentage indicates a more consistent and concentrated use of one certain strength. A more balanced distribution of triggers means that you use different triggers in different situations.
This graph shows how your personality compares with the thousands of others who have taken Fascination Advantage test. (For more in-depth information on your primary, secondary, and dormant triggers, see the
“TRIGGERS” section of this report.)

NEXT STEPS BUILD THE BEST TEAM WITH THE FASCINATON ADVANTAGE
You’ve just identified your own Fascination Advantage. You’ve seen the ways in which your personality is hardwired to add value.
Now, the next question is this:
What’s the hidden value of each person on your team?
What is your team’s Fascination Advantage? How do each of the people on your team earn respect and trust from eachother? From key decision-makers?
A few reasons to share The Fascination Advantage with your team:
1. FIND THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL IN EACH PERSONEach personality in your company has their own Fascination Advantage. Understanding them is essential. There is no “right” or “wrong” archetype, but there are smart choices for particular needs.
Someone whose primary personality trait is PASSION will distinguish herself in roles that include face-to-face conversations. She will also require more in-person contact with a manager in order to stay motivated, and she will bond quickly with customers and decision-makers.
In contrast, someone with a TRUST personality will build bonds more gradually, yet will more consistently earn loyalty.
When you know how employees are perceived by others, you can nurture each person’s most valuable traits.
2. HELP PEOPLE PLAY TO THEIR STRENGTHSOnce you know an individual’s archetype, you can help each employee play to her strengths. Find out which person relishes the adrenaline rush of new business prospecting, and which could be happier to oversee day-to-day details. You may discover that you have a natural coach in front of you with a knack for helping co-workers invent fresh solutions.
3. RECRUIT BETTER TALENTThere’s no shortage of candidates out there- but there is a shortage of great ones! How can you focus your resources on the personalities that are most likely to deliver what you need within a particular role? We can help provide a clearer picture for your hiring decisions, including how to:
• Motivate a candidate to join your company
• Keep employees engaged over time
• Choose which personalities is a better long-term fit
