Betty Young is asking for prayers as she is returning to the doctor this week.

J.B & Pauline Thomas, neighbors of Dan & Cheri Swafford, were in an automobile accident on Benton Pike recently. They are both at Erlanger and Pauline is in ICU.

Jamie Posey– had extensive cancer surgery at Van-derbilt on July 27th: 440 Ocoee Circle, Ocoee, TN 37361

Ryan Medlin– will be having surgery on his left ear on October 12th for an artificial ear bone implant at Vanderbilt: 2397 Interlackin Circle NW, Cleveland, TN 37312

Jonno Jordan, a fried of Ben & Rita Nipper, has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Haley Scott is requesting prayers for her husband, Austin. He will be deployed on the USS Tennessee submarine soon.

George O Haney suffered a bruised lung and 5 bro-ken ribs while trying to stop his truck from being stolen last week.

Gail Brown is in need of prayers. She did not re-ceive good news from her last treatment. She will have a scan on August 29th to see what other treat-ment options are available: 901 Willow Street NW, Cleveland, TN 37311

Olivia Runion, Ken & Dean Westbrook’s grand-daughter, who underwent major surgery on June 14th at Vanderbilt due to scoliosis, appreciates all the thoughts and prayers on her behalf. They meant a lot to Olivia and her family.

There is always a big need in our community for food, so once again, the pantry is in need of re-stocking. If you can help with this need, the following items would be appreciated: soup, crackers, mac & cheese, tuna, peanut butter, beans, spaghetti, sauce and cereal. No glass jars, please.

Small Group Ministry

Central is looking to expand the small group minis-try. We need group leaders that are willing to lead new groups. We are also looking for people that are interested in being in a small group. The purpose of small groups is first to study God’s word. Second, to develop more intimate relationships with members so you have an avenue of support when you need it. Third, to spend time in prayer. The main require-ment to be a group leader is to be able to coordi-nate meetings and lead discussions with the group. You will have help selecting a course of study to begin the group meetings. If you are interested in leading a group or world like to join a group, please contact Mike Brandon.
