Outdoor TrackingIf a resident leaves a facil-ity this is referred to as “elopement”. A facility that experiences an elopement can be subjected to heavy fines by the state and federal governments, as well as potential lawsuits by the family members, increases in liability insur-ance premiums, and nega-tive publicity resulting in lost business. Just one elopement episode has the potential to put the facility in jeopardy and restrict new admissions.

The CYBRACare Resident Tracking System wristband can optionally contain a GPS tracking capability. In the unlikely event that a resident manages to leave the premises, the GPS is triggered and the system notifies the appropriate parties (nursing home staff, family, police, etc.) to begin tracking immedi-ately.

Indoor TrackingThe CYBRACare Resident Tracking System uses en-hanced resident wristband technology. The system alerts staff and gives the location of a resident who wanders too far from a designated area or comes close to a sensor at an entrance or exit.

You set rules by resident (or resident category) for which locations (and at what times of day) warn-ings need to be issued. For instance, a particular resident may be free to roam the premises during the day — other than cer-tain dangerous areas such as the roof — but may be restricted from leaving his room at night.

The system can also issue alerts for residents who are in proximity of another resident (or staff member) that may be a cause of concern to management.
