Classroom Resources The cyberbullying section of the site contains a whole range of classroom resources to help address the issue of cyberbullying. These include Childnet's cyberbullying film, Let’s Fight It Together, and a unique drama documentary produced by students with accompanying lesson plan.

3. Childnet

Visit the website at www.childnet.com

Childnet International’s mission is to work in partnership with others around the world to help make the Internet a great and safe place for children.

Teacher Resources

Childnet works with the Dept for Education and Skills (DfES) and the British Educational Communications Technology Agency (BECTa) in the UK to address the issues of Internet safety in the classroom, as well as provide resources to help teachers tackle the subject both in and outside of the classroom.

Childnet, with the support of ISC2©, have produced the Safe and Secure Online presentation for keystage 3 pupils. It has been designed to help pupils identify the positive things they can achieve when using the internet, gain an awareness of the potential dangers they face online, and facilitate discussion regarding strategies to implement safe and secure online practices in order to avoid these risks.

You can find more resources including lesson plans, leaflets and posters on the Kidsmart website: www.kidsmart.org.uk/teachers Where can I find out more?

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has released new guidance on cyberbullying (April 2009) called 'Cyberbullying. Supporting School Staff'. Teacher Support Network contributed to this important guidance. Download a pdf copy here.
