nCWDM & DWDM Metro Access and Metro Core System
CWDM & DWDM Multiservice
Platform
City+ combines CWDM and DWDM
optical technology with carrier-class features
With its modular and compact design, City+ is ideal for
the enterprise and telecom operator offering low upfront
investment, high-scalability equipment, and providing high-bandwidth, managed
services over a single fiber pair. City+ provides up 16 CWDM channels with the
option to carry up to 16 DWDM channels, and it also supports TDM and Datacom
interfaces. By adopting a field programmable electronic core
and pluggable (SFP/XFP) optical transceivers you can
enable fewer transponder units that are configured to
address all possible network applications.
Sub-lambda multiplexing allows efficient lambda use and maintains transparent client services. The local craft terminal and CityEM™ NE manager can greatly benefit from City+’s comprehensive OAM&P feature set. The CORBA northbound interface exported by CityEM™ allows the telecom operator to integrate City+ into the network management chain. As a result of its distinct components and design, City+ makes flexible high-bandwidth provisioning at a substantially lower cost a reality.
