ASA-BI Statistics Webinar Series Title Statistical Problems in Respiratory Clinical Trials; Past, Present and Future Abstract An overview of statistical problems as they evolved from 1985 to 2018 in respiratory clinical trials will be presented. Evolution of various endpoints and statistical methods to analyze them in clinical trials primarily in asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis and various interstitial lung diseases will be explained. Finally, some new ideas and current developments including esti- mands as well as role of various machine learning proced- ures will be discussed. Professional Biography Dr. Shailendra Menjoge received his Ph.D. in Statistics from University of Rochester in 1981. He taught Statistics at University of Kentucky from 1980 – 1985. After leaving academia he joined Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutic- als Inc. and has been working there mostly in respiratory field. He is currently the Therapeutic Area Expert Statisti- cian in respiratory at Boehringer Ingelheim.
