Relevant Work Experience

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) - As part of my degree, I managed a fundraising project with Nobel Prize Winning organisation MAG (Mines Advisory Group).

Further Work Experience

October 2015 – present Hostess at Mowgli Street Food, Manchester. I am responsible for organising and taking bookings as well as ensuring the smooth running of Front of House.

July 2015 Staff Member with The Ridgeway School on Year 9 trip to Normandy, France. I was responsible for ensuring the safety of students at all times while passing on cultural and historical knowledge about the area.

September 2014 Sixth Form Administrator at The Ridgeway School. I was responsible for performing administrative and timetabling tasks on SIMS.

January 2014 – June 2014 Year 11 French Intervention Tutor at The Ridgeway School. In this role I had responsibility over a small class of students and would tutor for one hour a week on specific areas of their French GCSE course.

October 2013 Work experience in a Vineyard and Insurance Company (AXA) in Bordeaux as part of an exchange programme.

Extracurricular Activities

IVHQ Volunteer In August 2015, I spent a month in New Delhi, India, teaching English in the slums.

Head Girl After only a year of studying at The Ridgeway 6 th Form College, I was elected as Head Girl. As well as my role as Ambassador for French, I represented the school at open evenings and other public events and organised social and sport gatherings for students. I also organised a Charity Quiz in aid of the Prospect Hospice that raised over £1000.

Camps International Volunteer In August 2013, I partook in a jungle expedition to Borneo. During the 18

months prior to the excursion, I fundraised over £4000 through events such as curry evenings and cake sales. During the expedition, I took part in community construction work, teaching in a local school and a jungle trek. The experience taught me skills in managing finance, communication in a team as well as the practical skills I acquired during construction.

Harmony Gospel Choir (2014 - 2015) As a member of the choir, I perform both solo and ensemble pieces at small

gigs and large concerts.Kentwood Show Choir (2000 – 2014) During my years at the choir, I have taken part in many shows and

competitions. From a young age, I have been used to performing in large numbers of people, giving me confidence in social and professional situations. I have also achieved Grade 5 Singing.

Additional Skills

IT Experienced in using PowerPoint and Prezi for presentations.Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets.

Driving Full clean driving license.
