Education Sept 2011 - Present: Sheffield Hallam University, BA (Hons) Fashion Design Modules undertaken include: Design Specialism, Fashion Production, Professional Practice, Professional Studies, Self-Directed Design and Contextual Studies. Skills learnt: Garment manufacture and construction, pattern cutting from basic blocks to manipulating fabric and transferring it into a pattern. Researching and design development – illustration, technical drawings and layouts – Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design. Sept 2004 - June 2011: The Arthur Terry School A-Levels: Art (A), Textiles (B), Sociology (C) AS-Level: ICT (D) GCSEs: 12 GCSEs A-C including Maths, English, Science, ICT, Textile and Art and Design. Prize Giving: Margaret Campbell Prize for Textiles and Fletcher Prize for Creative Achievement. Employment December 2012 Present Student Representative Role includes: welcoming students upon arrival, showing them to their interview room and then take them on a tour of the fashion facilities. Sept 2009 - Sept 2011 (Part-Time), May 2012 Sept 12(University Vacation) Farmhouse Bistro, Waitress Role included: Serving of food and drinks to customers, taking orders, setting and clearing tables. Greeting customers and making them feel welcome, presenting customers with their bills and taking payments. Working in a team is a key part of this job to make sure the customers are happy. June 2012 (4 Weeks Work Experience) Scantex Europe Ltd. Role included: Research into existing designs and products, creating CADs, specifications, and checking sample sizes and final garments. Awards and Achievement 2009: Duke of Edinburgh – Bronze Award Teamwork was essential for the expedition to be successful. Chose dressmaking for the skill, ballet of the physical recreation and Guides for service. Skills and Abilities ICT Skills: Mac and PC literate, CAD/CAM, software packages include: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design, MS: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Laser Cutter using Corel Draw to create the shapes and operating Assyst Computerised Plotter. Communication Skills: The capability to work as part of a team, with peers to achieve an acquired objective. Discussing to organise events for Guides with other young leaders and leaders. Hobbies and Interests Travelling to exciting new places and returning to where family originate. Visiting galleries, exhibitions and places of interest.
