In Asia, I enjoyed a long and fruitful career in publishing–I published 12 English language textbooks–and worked in the semiconductor industry as a technical writer and communications specialist, especially with the American chipmaker AMD. Back in Belgium, I first worked on a number of interim and freelance projects as a technical writer and trainer, and became a member of RealDolmen (Real Software) in August 2008 as a technical writer. Since then, I have continuously worked on projects for large customers such as DHL, Bekaert, Hertel and D'Ieteren. I've had a passion for writing all my life, and I enjoy working in a team where I can share my extensive experience with younger colleagues and learn something new every day. I consider myself a very lucky man because it was my dream since childhood to be a writer and I have been able to make a living writing all my life. I have never, and will never shy away from a challenge when it comes to writing or developing documentation. Personal Presentation

I have worked all my life as a professional writer and developer of training materials, manuals and technical documentation, presentations and a wide range of business documents from logistics, production and quality control to human resources and business development in a wide range of business domains, but mostly in publishing, the high-tech field of semi-conductor fabrication and IT.

I was based in Thailand from the early eighties until the summer of 2004, when I returned to Belgium for the education of my children. In Asia, I enjoyed a long and fruitful career in publishing–I published 12 English language textbooks–and worked in the semiconductor industry as a technical writer and communications specialist, especially with the American chipmaker AMD.

Back in Belgium, I first worked on a number of interim and freelance projects as a technical writer and trainer, and became a member of RealDolmen (Real Software) in August 2008 as a technical writer. Since then, I have continuously worked on projects for large customers such as DHL, Bekaert, Hertel and D'Ieteren.

I've had a passion for writing all my life, and I enjoy working in a team where I can share my extensive experience with younger colleagues and learn something new every day. I consider myself a very lucky man because it was my dream since childhood to be a writer and I have been able to make a living writing all my life. I have never, and will never shy away from a challenge when it comes to writing or developing documentation.

Project “Driver 2”Driver 2 is a very comprehensive application that all aspects of all vehicles imported by D'Ieteren manages from ordering/purchasing of a vehicle, to maintenance, to write-off. The application is also linked with other applications such as accounting, warehousing of spare parts, etc.

My Contribution Developing presentations for training, developing a user manual integrated into the application (online help). Drafting of 'best practices'.

Technology, tools MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Paint, ScreenCapture, RoboHelp, Driver 2.Both the training courses and the online help scenarios were run on the application and systematically documented.
