Finance  related  work  experience:    

(October  2012):  World  First  -­‐  One  week  placement  in  one  of  the  leading  currency  traders  in  the  world  where  I  learnt  how  mathematical  models  learnt  at  school  could  be  applied  into  the  world  of  derivatives  and  options  as  well  as  learning  how  reducing  the  ‘spread’  on  currency  can  maximise  revenue.  

(June  2012):  Abel  &  Cole  -­‐  One  week  internship  in  the  UK’s  biggest  organic  food  distributing  company  where  I  gained  finance  related  analytical  skills  looking  at  stock  control  models,  supply  chain  analysis  and  vendor  relationships.    

(July  2011):  Davroc  -­‐  One  week  placement  in  a  leading  international  bathroom  distribution  company  where  in  addition  to  reviewing  their  marketing  model,  I  analysed  their  control  of  working  capital,  and  I  also  looked  at  potential  acquisitions  manufacturers  and  a  retailers-­‐  my  first  exposure  to  vertical  integration.    

Leadership  positions:    

(September  2011-­‐June  2013):  Head  of  Sales  in  the  ‘Young  Enterprise  Scheme’.                                                                                              I  helped  lead  the  team  to  be  the  most  successful  Young  Enterprise  group  in  the  school’s  history,  selling  500th  year  anniversary  ties  to  pupils  and  alumni  resulting  in  an  appearance  on  the  ITV  news.                            This  was  also  my  first  exposure  of  how  the  price  setting  theory  could  be  applied  to  the  business  world.
