Key Responsibilities: • Ensuring that the Contractor executes the construction works under the Engineering Construction Contracts

(NEC3), in accordance with the contract specifications, construction means, methods, techniques, sequence and procedures

• Reviewing and monitoring that Quality Control and Quality Assurance of all work undertaken by the Contractor, is according to the contract.

• Liaising with Contractor and Lead Designer in establishing and implementing procedures to expedite the processing of material and equipment sample submittals, and following up with responses to the Contractor in a timely manner and to suit the requirements of the project programme.

• Monitoring, reviewing and approving the Contractor’s Project Schedule/Programme, and ensuring that it is well detailed and up to date as required.

• Monitoring the performance of the Contractor construction activities against the programme (in terms of time and quality).

• Preparing instructions for formal issue to the Contractor. • Chairing Progress and Technical Meetings, ensuring prompt distribution of meeting minutes and action items are

addressed. • Maintaining project records in a classified and retrievable form. • Compiling and issuing Monthly Project Progress Reports to the Client detailing the status of the project. • Assisting in providing professional advice and contributing to various commercial decisions when required. • Assisting in reviewing and adjudicating circumstances and entitlements that arise from any changes (i.e.

Ekcon/Qunu Consulting Construction Project Manager Served as Lead Project Manager / Principal Agent on a number of private and public sector construction projects where I was responsible for the total management and coordination of all project resources, to ensure the successful delivery of the project’s objectives. Appended is a list of projects I have led to completion and/or served as an assistant PM:

Key Responsibilities • Serving as the main link between the Client, Design Team (Consultants) and the Contractor. • Establishing the Clients’ requirements and preferences, and where required, assess the User Clients’ needs and

options. • Appointing the necessary consultants to assist in establishing the project brief, objectives, priorities, constraints,

assumptions and strategies. • Managing the preparation of the final project concept reports in accordance with the brief, including project scope,

scale, and character, form and function, plus preliminary project plan/programme and viability assessment of the projects.

• Overseeing the development of the final designs by the relevant consultants; including the specifications outlined, cost plans, financial viability and developing the master programme for the project.

• Developing and managing all project management tools for implementation: project execution plan (PEP), communication plan, risk management plan, contract instruction and change control documents, quality management documents etc.

• Managing the preparation of all procurement and construction documentation, confirming and implementing the Clients’ procurement strategies and procedure for effective and timeous procurement of the necessary resources for execution of the project.

• Facilitating the evaluation of all valid tenders/bids received and the preparing tender evaluation reports, including recommendations, for consideration by the Client’s Bid Evaluation Committee. On approval of the preferred bidder by the Client, facilitating the signing of the construction contracts.

• Managing, administering and monitoring the construction contracts and processes, including preparing and coordinating the procedures and documentation to facilitate practical completion of the works.

• Managing and controlling the project’s budget by collating and capturing all payment claims submitted by the Contractor and approved by the relevant Consultants, updating the project’s Financial Report on a monthly basis, submitting requests for additional funds when required and managing the project’s cash flow.

• Compiling and issuing monthly project progress reports to the Client and User Client detailing the status of the project.

• Chairing all project meetings and developing and issuing the necessary meeting minutes for action. • Managing the Contractor to ensure that the construction activities are being performed in accordance with the

detailed specifications, to the desired quality and that project plan is being adhered to, to ensure that the project is completed within the allotted time frame.

• Attending to all contractual issues and claims from the Contractor on behalf of the Client. • On completion of the project; fulfilling and completing the project close-out, including the necessary

documentation to facilitate effective completion, handover and operation of the project.
