EXPERIENCE State Foreign Trade Company - MAIMEX, for import/export of

medical equipment, consumables and medicines for the whole territory of Bulgaria

Import department, started as trainee, but quickly rose to be responsible for the import of Medical Equipment for all kind of labs for the whole territory of Bulgaria (all medical facilities). During a brief pregnancy leave from 03/1990, major government changes happened in Bulgaria, and the fall of the communist party lead to the dissolution of the State Foreign Trade Company and various other state-operated businesses.

Private Business, Sofia, 04/1991 - Present

Private business operation for import and servicing of medical equipment. The business has operated as exclusive distributor for various vendors, the bigger of which are: 1993-2000 Toshiba medical systems (Netherlands) – imaging equipment 1995 – 1998 Johnson & Johnson Clinical Diagnostics (Ektachem) – clinical chemistry 1998 – present Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (ex J&J) – clinical chemistry, immunology, immunohaematology – equipment + reagents Since 2000, the business has been focused exclusively to operate as a distributor of Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, and because of the great volume of work involved in restructuring of the blood-donating sector in Bulgaria, the bulk of the blood-screening for the whole Bulgarian territory (all patients) of blood-typing and antibody screening is done on the Mitis2 and AutoVue equipment. Until 2005, the responsible headquarters of OCD for Bulgaria were situated in Neckargemuend, Germany and the person responsible was mr.Wolfgang Stier, which whom we have worked very successfully in the span of 7-8 years. Afterwards, the responsible headquarters of OCD for Bulgaria re-located to London since 2007 to date, and we have worked very successfully with mr.Alan Springle.
