Personal Statement: I have been working as an Environmental Consultant for just under five years with my current role being a Senior Environmental Consultant. Due to my work ethic and capability I have undertaken a vast range of training surrounding a consultant engineer role including: Soil logging to BS 5930, Phase I & Phase II Site Investigations, Person, BESC, HSG47 and analysing analytical results. As well as this I am computer literate and able to use almost any MS programs and all MS office programs including excel to increase data input efficiency. I am also currently a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences.

Relevant Experience:I have been working in the contaminated land sector and have been involved in Phase I and Phase II environmental and geo-environmental investigations. These have been on a range of commercial, industrial and residential properties on a variety of site conditions including Brownfield sites and green for clients such as Tesco stores Ltd and Taylor Wimpey. Currently, my main focus is the environmental assessment and remediation of domestic oil spills. As well as this I worked on a 24 hour emergency response contract for a major power distributor working on remediation of oil spills, Due to my capability I was also a technical advisor overseeing others work and reviewing reports. I have been to Iraq to work on a large scale environmental baseline assessment project within gas facilities in the southern oil fields.

When carrying out Phase I environmental and geo-environmental assessments I have been involved in the: collection and interpretation of information, including historical maps, regulatory information, third party reports, liaising with statutory bodies (which predominantly include the Local Authority and Environment agency), site surveys, and the production of risk assessment reports and initial site conceptual models.

I have worked on a variety of sites including former gas works, landfills, redundant and active petrol stations, power stations and engineering works. This has included: overseeing intrusive investigations (including the drilling of boreholes, probeholes, and the excavation of trial pits), collection of samples for analytical testing, ground gas and groundwater monitoring, soil logging, coal mine risk assessments, in putting data on gINT and assessing the risks in context of human health and pollution to controlled waters under the UK legislative framework and waste classification and producing reports predominantly for planning purposes. Employment History:Senior Environmental Consultant, Tergeo Consulting LtdAugust 2015 – Present, Newmarket, Lincoln, Leeds, UNITED KINGDOMI joined Tergeo in 2015 as a Senior Environmental Consultant. My role within Tergeo is to manage domestic oil spills from the initial environmental assessment to creating a remediation strategy, validating and invoicing. I also assist in the management of Phase I and Phase II environmental assessment, the training of graduate members of staff, the running of the drilling side of the business, currently one window sampler rig and the management of the organisations Safety, Health and Environment Plans and Procedures.

Geo-Environmental Consultant, RSK EnvironmentJune 2012 – August 2015, Castleford, UNITED KINGDOMI joined RSK in June 2012 as a graduate geo-environmental consultant and progressed to full geo-environmental consultant quickly through my capabilities. I was part of a team who provided an emergency response contract for a major power distributor to assist in the clean up and remediation of oil spills and other environmental incidents. As well as this I also work on phase I & II geo-environmental investigations on a range of sites.

Duty Manager, William Forster March 2012 – June 2012, Lincoln, UNITED KINGDOM

Environmental Technician, Delta-SimonsSeptember 2011 – March 2012, Lincoln, UNITED KINGDOMAt Delta-Simons my primary focus was undertaking monitoring of ground gas and groundwater for phase II risk assessments. Through my work ethic I was quickly trained up to also assist in writing the Phase I and II risk assessments and undertake intrusive site investigations. Unfortunately, I was made redundant during a tight first quarter for the company though I have kept in touch and have no hard feelings with the team.

Labourer, AFK MarketingApril 2011 – August 2011, Lesingham, UNITED KINGDOM

Bar Staff, The White HorseJuly 2010 – February 2011 , Sleaford, UNITED KINGDOM Additional Information:My passion within this field is environmental science regarding the EIA process and Quantitative Risk Assessment, part of this I feel came from the first time I read Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring as suggested during a sustainable development module and the rest is from the enjoyment I get working on and learning all aspects within this field and being able to conduct fieldwork no matter the weather.

I am a friendly, outgoing person who is capable and willing to work both as a team and alone when necessary. I believe myself to be reliable and honest and will always work to my fullest to complete the job at hand whilst meeting any and all deadlines.

I also enjoy sports and music and have been playing for Sleaford Rugby Club for 13 years. I am passionate about the outdoors and thoroughly enjoy camping and hiking.
