Personal StatementI am an Operating Department Practitioner, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.After qualifying in 2003, I worked initially as an anaesthetic ODP in theatres and recovery. Recently I have enjoyed a little career diversity, and following extended training, I have been employed in A&E as an Emergency Practitioner since 2012.I have an interest in pre-hospital care and have volunteered as a first responder since 2008, initially with North East Ambulance, and following my move north I am currently with Scottish Ambulance Service.In my spare time I work as an event medic and first aider, primarily covering outdoor sporting activities.I have recently retired from the family farm, which allows me to seek employment opportunities further afield, and I am looking for new and exciting challenges within the fields of emergency and pre-hospital care.
