The current research is focused on the following topics: - Takeover regulation: on the one hand about the takeover directive implementation in EU countries and on the other hand about shareholders’ right to damages in Italy and Germany in case of refuse by the control acquirer to launch the offer. - Scandals in Italian banking system: analysis of the recent scandals concerning Italian banks’ surveillance and the developments in Italian banking law. - Financial intermediaries liability: since 2004 there have been an increasing number of decisions concerning intermediaries conduct rules (mainly suitability rule). There’s a big debate if the breach of these rules make the contract void or if the solution is to search in the liability rules. The scholars are waiting for the General Session of the Supreme Court of Cassation Previous research project concerned the following topics: - comparison of corporate elections models in the EU Member States - the one share-one vote principle. The project evaluated the impact of particular companies’ structural defences (e.g. multiple voting rights or staggered boards) on the firm value and, consequently, on shareholders’ value.

Previous employment 2006 Fellowship in Assonime (Italian Association between Public Companies). I

have investigated several issues concerning company law and capital markets, focusing on the reform for the protection of savings and the regulation of financial markets, auditors’ liability, the reform of the Italian corporate governance code, competition in trading and post trading services.

Member of the Genoa training node ECGTN brings together Europe’s leading institutions from law, economics and finance to train doctoral students in conducting world class research in the corporate governance area.

2004 Research Assistant of Prof. Paolo Giudici, Associate Professor of Business Law at the School of Economics and Management, Free University of Bozen, in the MIUR Project (Italian Ministry of Research and University) “Concerted acquisitions in the takeover regulation: comparative law and economics”. The research investigated:

- civil liability and enforcement in antitrust matters, mainly the issue concerning consumers’ right to damages in Italy and the US. A data base of all relevant Italian courts’ decisions was created;

- punitive damages, securities class actions and derivative suits in the US, in comparison to Italy.

- prospectus and auditors liability in Germany.
