RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

CURRENT POSITION

June 2014 – onwards. Postdoc researcher and teacher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). In particular, Department of Catalan Philology (teaching) and Theoretical Linguistics Centre (research), in particular development of the project Atlas sintáctico del español (ASinEs).

Since June 2014, when I obtained my PhD degree, I have been enjoying (as a post-doc) the last months of my 4-year pre-doctoral fellowship (Formación de Profesorado Universitario, Training of University Lecturers) at the UAB. This fellowship combines research and training for prospective university lecturers. It is granted by the Ministry of Education. I obtained the second-best score out of 950 successful applicants from all disciplines and universities. In fact, due to a bureaucratic problem, my enrolment in a doctoral program with an Honours track could not be recognised in my application—had it been so, I would have obtained the top score. See Previous positions below.

PREVIOUS POSITIONS

December 2010 – June 2014. Predoctoral researcher at the Theoretical Linguistics Centre and lecturer for the Department of Catalan Linguistics. In December 2010, I obtained the 4-year research and training fellowship Formación de Profesorado Universitario awarded by the Ministry of Education. I obtained my PhD degree in June 2014, half a year before the end of the fellowship (December 2014). See Current position.

During the predoctoral phase, I was awarded three different grants to fund research stays in other European countries:

15/06/2013 – 15/10/2013 (4 months). IKER-CNRS (France). Researchers’ mobility program for the promotion of cross-border exchanges within the Work Community of the Pyrenees (AIRE-CTP 2012), Generalitat de Catalunya.

14/04/2013 – 14/06/2013 (2 months). IKER-CNRS (France). Mobility allowance program Short stays, within the Training of University Teachers program, Ministry of Education.

29/01/2012 – 29/04/2012 (3 months). Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). Mobility allowance program Short stays, within the Training of University Teachers program, Ministry of Education.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Areas of interest: Syntactic Variation, Syntax of Romance Languages, Argument Structure, Syntax-Semantics Interface, Romance Languages, Germanic Languages, Basque, Synchrony, Diachrony, Theoretical Linguistics, Generativism, Minimism, Neoconstructionism, Distributed Morphology.

UNESCO-specialization codes: 57 Linguistics; 5702 Diachronic Linguistics; 5703 Linguistic Geography; 5704 Linguistic Theory; 5705 Synchronic Linguistics.
