I have more than 26 years of experience in the construction industry. My areas of
Facilities ' Management expertise include operations and maintenance, contract
administration, project management, procurement, and electrical engineering. My
projects consist of residential and commercial buildings, educational facilities, Sports
facilities, hotels and resorts, and telecommunications and technology in Egypt and the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In addition to overseeing operations and maintenance activities for a multiuse complex, I
developed annual budgets, controlled costs, recruited and trained facilities staff,
enforced company policies, and liaised with customers and the client. I also established
local and international purchasing procedures for equipment, materials, and supplies. As
a member of the Operations and Maintenance Department, I performed procedure
testing, commissioning, and handover; reviewed drawings and material submissions;
conducted site inspections; and coordinated with local authorities. In addition to providing
facilities management services, I participated in feasibility studies.

Besides above mentioned tasks, I am supporting the following projects management for
the electromechanical activities:
AMER Group, Porto Soukhna, (From Jan 2011 till March 2013)
Hill International was engaged to provide project management services to a mixed-use
development on the Red Sea. The development included residential units (more than
1,600 apartments and 180 villas), a 200-room hotel, a four-story shopping mall, a club
area, and 10 swimming pools. I am responsible for reviewing the electromechanical
design works, such as drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and specifications, and
discussing comments with both the designer and the client.
Accor, Tahrir Mixed-Use Complex, Cairo, Egypt, Facilities Manager
(From April 2011 till Dec 2012)
Hill International delivered project management services for a mixed-use complex
comprising two independent towers. One tower was used by National Societe General
Bank (NSGB) as an office building, and the other was a hotel managed by Accor. I
brought on to evaluate the electromechanical design works, including drawings, bills of
quantities (BOQs), and specifications, and discuss comments with both the designer and
the client.
Credit Agricole Egypt Head Office Complex Project
(From Dec 2011 till Jan 2013)
Hill International delivered project management services for Credit Agricole Egypt
(CIEB)’s headquarter in the Showayfat area in Tagamoa Khamis for a total built up area
44,800 M2. Join the evaluation team and support the MEP activities.
Qatar Diyar St Regis Complex
(Dec 2011 and then May&June2012)
Manage the technical evaluation process for the vertical transportation tender to
recommend the most suitable bidder (technical only) . The project include 26 elevators
with different speeds from 1.6 to 6 M/S for high rise buildings 1600 KG. The bidders
enter the tender were Otis, Schindler, Thyssen , Mitsubishi and Kone. The study includes
primary stage in Dec 2011 and secondary stage in May & June 2012.
Jabal Omar Development Project
(From Feb 2012 till March 2013)
Hill International recently appointed as the Design Reviewer ( DR) for Jabal Omar
Development Project for the following zones :N1 & N6A; S7; S8 & S9; S6; N5, N6c &
N6b; S10 & S11; and N4. •I am the head of MEP team who responsible to review all
designs for MEP submitted by the Design Consultants assigned for the project phases.
July 1999, to 30 Sept 2010 First Arabian Real Estate & Tourism Investment
“Operation and Maintenance Manager then promoted to Director” for the whole complex
of The First Residence compromising the Four Seasons Hotel, The First Mall and The
First Residence. My scope of work includes:
o Preparing facility yearly budget in accordance with the client requirements same
as the building requirements.
o Responsible for all requirements of various activities including but not limited to:
engineering, custodial, façade maintenance, security, safety, events’ support and
landscaping.
o Preparing relevant documentation for local government agencies as may be
required or necessary.
o Reviewing property related data such as planning reports, property status reports,
property request needs and surpluses…
o Controlling and minimizing unnecessary expenses that may affect the company.
o Provide the required study with continuous development of energy saving
programs
o Managing, training, developing, and recruiting facilities staff as and when
necessary, including: planning, organization, object setting, on job training,
monitoring department's workload, productivity, and carrying staff appraisal.
o Ensuring that staff follows company policies such as: dress code, health and
safety…
o Maintaining direct contacts with customers to evaluate the degree of customer
satisfaction.
o Providing the company and clients with accurate financial processes and
technical reports on regularly timed basis.
o Improving communication and relationship skills for services staff in addition to
maintaining an efficient employee – clientele relations.
o Analyzing prevention and corrective actions.
o Developing and maintaining close relationships with key internal and external
contacts, identifying, and developing opportunities to provide more effective
services and better money value for business / support units within the offices.
o Establishing procedures for local & international purchases and warehouse in
addition to directing, monitoring, and post checking quality of equipment, tools,
raw materials, and supplies.
o Providing continuous development of security plans (Prevention & Detection).
o Monitoring all operating cost and up-keeping contract records.
o Surveying new projects and cost estimation prior to final approval in addition to
the preparation of new contracts’ cost budgets, manpower requirements,
equipment and materials.

“Electrical Engineer” for the operation and maintenance department during the stage of
construction & completion to start with the O&M Dept. procedure testing, commissioning
and handing over for whole project services and central plants. Also a key person in
planning the budget for the first year of operation including identifying the exact
qualifications for the required staff.

o Assist in reviewing contractor’s final design drawings against contract drawings.

o Coordinate with the outsources subcontractors and make sure both the quality
and performance meet the project requirements.
o Regular check for the sites’ stores and make sure of the availability of the
minimum level of all items.
o Make sure of the FM teams regarding the capability of using the tools and
equipment properly.
o Follow up the pre-defined planned preventive maintenance program and random
check for the most important annual tasks.
o Coordinate with the clients to cover any required action at reasonable time.
o Follow up the procurement process and make sure that comply with the company
policy.
o Establish working plans for the forecast periods.
o Prepare the reports may be requested by clients.
