LocationKeep Your fridge Away From the Following:

Radiators Cookers Ovens Gas & Oil Boilers Generators

Close proximity to any such devices will result in your fridge having to work harder and use up more electricity to cool its contents.

Temperature Colder is not always better. Check the recommended storage temperature of the products you are refrigerating. Your fridges ‘temperature should match this – no more, no less. A higher temperature leads to spoiled produce. A lower temperature uses more power and costs more to run.

Close the Door!A simple, but very effective way of saving money on your refrigerator bills is closing your fridges’ doors when not in use. This prevents cold air from getting out, warm air from getting in and means your fridges can operate on less power –saving you money!

Maintenance Be sure to manually defrost your fridges every 6 months. Keep evaporators and condensers clear from dirt and built up ice. Clean the inside of your fridges regularly. Leaks should be repaired straight away.
