ETC’s latest addition to the suite of products using ETCNet2technology, the WRFU is wireless Ethernet Remote Focus Unitsoftware for Obsession II and Emphasis Control Systems.Suitable for approved handheld devices, WRFU offers you thecomprehensive functionality already available in ETC’s wiredRFUs, with the added flexibility of a small handheld wirelessunit, fast reliable wireless connection, a backlit touch screen,increased functionality including a macro selection screen, andthe benefit of onboard host Windows® applications for yourlighting data.

Hardware platformDesigned for pocket PC platform PDAs, the WRFU is offered in a software-only package, or in packages bundling thesoftware with Cisco Systems® wireless Ethernet PC card andaccess point, and HP®/COMPAQ® iPAQ™ Pocket PC andexpansion sleeve. User friendlyWith the Ethernet Access Point connected directly to yourlighting network, open up the RFU program on your PDA; complete a 4-digit log-in, and you are ready to go! Theclear, backlit touchscreen keypad is easy to view and easy touse with a stylus pen or fingertip. Pop-up menus and thenavigator button allow quick access to multiple screens, eachwith the numeric keypad and selected function keys. Thefamiliar two-line display remains in view, including cue status,current screen and command line, and commands can beconstructed with function keys from different screens.

Think of the benefits...Crews are no longer tied to a cable length or RFU accesspoints in the catwalk. No more climbing ladders or relying on someone on the ground to punch up a channel.

NEW! Macro functionThe addition of the macro user screen also makes the WRFU auseful programming and operating tool, giving the user instanttouchscreen access to 25 macros per screen with scrollablescreens within an editable macro range.

Multiple users, multiple systemsThe log-in screen allows users to select which Obsession orEmphasis system to connect to, in multi-system venues. Alsoallows for multiple wireless and wired RFU users on one system.
