Customizing Shapes and other Objects on the Slide
• Autoshapes- draw graphics of different shapes and sizes.
• Customizing- to resize, move, apply, colors, patterns, effects, borders, line styles, shadows and other effects.
To change an AutoShape•Click the AutoShape you want to change.•Click AutoShapes icon from the drawing toolbar
To Resize the Object• Click the object you want to resize• When sizing handles appear, position
the pointer on the sizing handles.• When the pointer changes to a double
headed arrow, drag the pointer inwards or outwards to change the size of the shape.• Deselect the object when done.
Sizing Handle
To Move an Object• Click the object you want to resize.• When the sizing handles appear,
position the pointer in between the sizing handles.• When the pointer changes to a four
headed arrow, drag the object to the new location.• Deselect the object when done
To Remove the Object• Click the object you want to remove or delete.• When sizing handles appear, position the pointer on the edge of the sizing. Handles, the click Delete key from the keyboard.
Modifying the WordArt
To Apply a WordArt • Select the text box, or select some text
inside of the text box. The Format tab will appear.• Click the Format tab.• In the WordArt Styles group, click
the More drop-down arrow to view all of the available styles.• Select the desired style preset to apply
the style to your text.
To Add or Modify Text Effects• Select the text box, or select some
text inside of the text box. The Format tab will appear.• Click the Format tab.• Click the Text Effects command in
the WordArt Styles group. A drop-down menu will appear showing the different effect categories.
