Mathews Brothers takes our presence here on the planet very seriously. That is why for years we have reduced, reused and recycled nearly every component of our product offering, from the glass

we cut to the water we use to clean it; and it is why we instituted the Mathews Brothers Environmental Stewardship Initiative, as we search for even more ways to be environmentally friendly.

For Over 155 Years,Mathews Brothers Has Been On� e Cutting Edge of TechnologyOrlando Ephraim (O.E.) Frost was responsible for the second phase of Mathews Brothers growth. He was brought on as general manager in 1898 (following the deaths of the founding brothers) and was promoted to superintendent shortly thereafter. In 1904, he purchased the company from the surviving members of the family, and started Mathews Brothers long-standing tradition of community involvement and support of the Waldo County General Hospital.

Mr. Frost owned the company for 24 years. During his time at the helm, O.E. Frost introduced spiral stairs and coffi ns to the product line, and even built the Jennie Flood Kreger, the largest fi ve-masted schooner ever built in Belfast.

O.E. Frost liked a challenge, and his reputation for producing superior products was legendary. It is for these reasons we have named our custom wood product line after him.

What is it exactly that you’re looking for in your new window? Well, odds are, we can get it for you.

You see, every O.E. Frostwindow is made to yourspecifi c requirements,and to our demanding

standards for quality and beauty.

Virtually every aspect of these windows are designed and specifi ed by you...

First you choose your frame style. Single- hung or double-hung? Stationary or operable? Pre-hung, sash and balance, or sash only? Weight and chain, weight and cord,

tape balance, or square edge/no plough? With or without blindstop?

Then, you choose your sash options... do you want 13/4", 13/8", or some other dimension? Standard or custom stile & rail? The choice is up to you.

When it comes to glass, here’s where we really shine! Clear? Restoration? How about #2

(also called “seedy”)? Obscure? Low-E? Laminated? Tempered? Or did you have something else in mind? No problem. We can make it!

“It’s not a window... it’s furniture”Did you know that Mathews Brothers is one of the last of the window companies in the U.S. that still produces putty glazed true divided lite windows?

Now, you just have to figure out what type of muntin bar you want. Choose among standard or custom profile, 5/8", 7/8" or custom width.

This is where things might get difficult for you: choosing the species of wood for each part of the window?

We offer a variety of choices: Clear Pine, or per-haps Mahogany, White Oak, Red Oak, Cedar, Maple, Alder, Cherry, Lyptus, Douglas Fir. Or, maybe you had something more exotic in mind? No problem. We can get it!

Now, for your head casing - Flat? 908 or custom? Sill nose - Standard? Historic? One piece? Horns? 1¼"? 17/8"? Or, perhaps, maybe something different? No problem. We can make it!

You’re almost to the finish line...Speaking of that, what finish would you like on your sash? None? Primed exterior? Primed

interior? Primed both sides?

What about the sill finish? The frame finish? The casing finish? The interior stop finish?

Next, we need to talk about your hardware choices. Would you like Bright Brass, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Brushed Nickel, Brushed Chrome or White?

How about the jamb depth? We offer 49/16", 51/4", as well as custom depths.

What screen frame are you interested in, aluminum or wood? Wood? OK, what species? What about the screen mesh? We offer fiberglass, aluminum or copper.
