Introduction and Summary

I am a young jewellery designer and artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I draw

inspiration from my every-day surroundings, focussing on detail often overlooked or

unseen.

I received my 3 year National Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture with

distinction at the University of Johannesburg and recently completed my BTech with

distinction. I received second prize in the New Talent category of the ThuThuka

Jewellery Awards in 2012, Award for Technical Excellence in 2013, second prize in the

Achievement Award category in 2014 and the Innovation and Creativity Award in

2015.

I have a passion for students and teaching; I am currently the First Year Coordinator in

Jewellery Design and Manufacture and Design Management lecturer at the University

of Johannesburg.
