Experiences and Particular Strengths:
More than twenty years of continuous and successful experiences in the
management of patients with all varieties of medical renal disease at a specialized
referral Institution (Urology & Nephrology Center, Mansoura – Egypt). These
experiences were gained through the following activities:
1. Running work in the outpatient nephrology clinic twice weekly (20 new
patients and 45 patients on follow up/week on average and extensive
responsibilities in selection, preparation and follow-up of more than 2000 renal
allograft recipient.
2. Full participation in the management of in-patients along the past 15 years
(transplantation and Nephrology).
3. Vast experiences in hemo and peritoneal dialysis in the management of acute
and chronic renal failure.
4. Good experience in pediatric Nephrology including dialysis and renal
transplantation.
5. Advanced experience in use and monitoring recent modalities of therapy in the
field of Nephrology as Plasmapharesis, Pulse therapy, Immunotherapy and
Antirejection protocols.
6. Skilful in obtaining and processing kidney biopsies, insertion of femoral,
subclavian and internal jugular vein catheter for intermittent hemodialysis in
addition to Tenckhoff catheter fixation either surgically or bedside.
7. Excellent experiences in the intensive care work, management of medical
emergencies in a surgical patients and intensive postoperative care.
8. Excellent experiences in training junior physicians in the field of Nephrology.
9. Clinical round teaching and lectures for medical students in Mansoura

-I had been an Instructor in the department of Nephrology, Mansoura University,
Egypt between 1999 and 2005. During this period, I had participated in the teaching
of students, interns and residents. Then I became a lecturer in the same department
between 2005 and 2010. I continued to conduct training for students, interns,
residents and instructors via instructional ward round, grand ward round, educational
meetings for discussion of difficult cases, Journal clubs and Morbidity and Mortality
meetings.
-I joined Hamad Medical Corporation, Nephrology Department from October 2010
till now during my academic leave. Since then, I am participating in the whole
teaching activities including training of residents through ward rounds,
histopathology meetings, lectures in Clinical Nephrology and journal clubs. Also I
am actively sharing as instructor for the nephrology fellows in the nephrology
fellowship program sessions in Hamad Medical Corporation.
-In addition I have been appointed as assistant professor of clinical medicine and
nephrology in Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar in 2012 and since then I am
involved in the teaching process of their medical students too.
