Protein Biochemistry, Enzymology, Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry and Endocrinology have remained my areas of interest. Besides I have also been teaching the courses on Endocrinology and Microbiology to the postgraduate students at the Department of Biotechnology. Further as a member of the Boards for the Undergraduate

and Postgraduate studies in Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry and Biotechnology, I have been contributing towards framing and modulating the curricula for these courses Research Interests My research area include: Isolation, purification and physiochemical characterization of proteins and enzymes, identification and characterization of novel therapeutic protease inhibitors from plants, understanding the genetic epidemiology of PCOS and other metabolic disorders, changes in kinetic properties of the enzymes under stress conditions mainly, sulfur dioxide, the major air pollutant and medicinal plant research.
