As a member of the REDE team Mr. Theron performs the following tasks:

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Mr. Theron has 25+ years work experience, mainly in the water services sector in the Limpopo Province, in

planning, detail design and implementation of water and sewage conveyance systems, pumping stations

and to a lesser degree, treatment. This included technical advisory positions to Water Services Authorities.

Assignments completed in the water services sector focused mainly on the planning, design and

implementation of regional bulk water supply infrastructure as well as distribution and reticulation networks.

Many groundwater related projects were also designed and implemented during various “Drought Relief”

programmes in Limpopo. Management experience in the water services sector include the monitoring of

compliance to policy and legislation.

Furthermore, Mr. Theron has extensive programme and project management experience in the

implementation of civil engineering services, housing developments and civil construction projects. Project

management responsibilities performed include the management of project budgets, construction progress,

valuation of sub-contractors works completed, quantity surveying and health and safety implementation to

OHS Act requirements. Part of his project management responsibilities also include the effective

communication with implementing agents, other professionals, clients, contractors, suppliers and community

members and leaders.

Mr. Theron spent 3 years as a technical advisor to the Department of Public Works in assisting the Limpopo

Department of Public Works and local authorities with the implementation and monitoring of labour intensive

construction projects (EPWP) and training.
