York University Representative to the Pacific Asian Consortium for International Business Education and Research, January 1991- 1999 (including meetings in Hawaii [2], Arizona [2], Seoul and Banff). Acting Director International MBA Program and member of the Management Committee, Ontario Centre for International Business, York University (in co-operation with the University of Toronto and Wilfrid Laurier University), May–October 1988 and again January–March 1990. The Centre was established with an Ontario Provincial Government grant of six million dollars

over five years. I was one of the three key York people who designed the proposal for the Centre, negotiated an agreement with the University of Toronto to make a joint submission, and ushered the proposal through the four-way competition held by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities and finally negotiated the agreement to include Wilfrid Laurier University. The competition included a presentation before the seven member review panel on March 22, 1988 by President Harry Arthurs, Professor James Gillies, Associate Dean Sanford Borins and myself, as well as a team from the University of Toronto which included President George Connell, Dean Roger Wolff, Dean Robert Pritchard and Professor Alan Rugman. The Centre was officially announced on April 26, 1988 by the Minister of Colleges and Universities and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Technology. Following the press conference there was a luncheon, hosted by the Province, where Premier David Peterson outlined the importance of the Centre. The work on the proposal for the Ontario Centre for International Business began in the Summer of 1986. Part of my OCIB activities was to oversee the designing of the York University International MBA (IMBA) Programme.
