Consultation was provided to parents and teachers in all forms of special and regular education classroom settings to increase learning and motivation. As an educational consultant, I designed and presented numerous workshops on effective classroom behavior management, disciplining the non-compliant child, helping children with ADHD, treating anxiety disorders, understanding 504 and IDEA procedures, and stress management. In addition, I participated in numerous committee projects including developing a performance appraisal system, staff development, and long-range program planning for the school psychology department. Erford, Ph.D., is a professor in the human development counseling program of the Department of Human and Organizational Development in the Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. He was the 61st President of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and past ACA Treasurer. He is a Fulbright Specialist and ACA Fellow, and has received numerous awards for his service to the counseling profession. His primary areas of research include counseling outcomes and development and psychometric evaluation of counseling and educational tests. He is the author or editor of more than 30 counseling books, and has authored more than 75 scholarly articles, 100 book chapters, and 20 psycho-educational tests. He has also made more than 200 scholarly presentations. He is Editor of Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development (MECD) and Senior Associate Editor of Journal of Counseling & Development (JCD). He also was a representative to the ACA Governing Council and the ACA 20/20 Visioning Committee, and has held numerous leadership positions in ACA, Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, and the Maryland Counseling Association. BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT Bradley T. Erford, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, LPC, LP, LSP, is a professor in the human development counseling program of the Department of Human and Organizational Development in the Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. From 1993-2017, he was a faculty member at Loyola University Maryland. He was the 61st President of the American Counseling Association (ACA) for 2012-2013 and ACA Treasurer for 2017-2018. Dr. Erford was a school psychologist/counselor in the Chesterfield County (VA) Public Schools. A graduate of The University of Virginia (Ph.D.), Bucknell University (M.A.), and Grove City College (B.S.), he teaches courses in Assessment, Research and Evaluation in Counseling, School Counseling, and Stress Management.
