Each Faculty has a link academic in CELT, and this person (or rep) will:• Attend Faculty Planning meeting • Work with programme team during documentation
preparation (optional but strongly recommended)• DAFfing: Formal review Section D of the programme

Aims of enhanced role
• To support innovation in a more timely way• To support academic decision-making • To ensure that the Learning, Teaching and
Assessment strategy is embedded in programme planning
• To improve consistency in learning, teaching and assessment aspects of documentation
Some things we learned from EQAL
• Learning outcomes and assessment strategies are most likely to be subject to panel conditions
• Pre-panel reports from CELT can be helpful in addressing conditions
• Documentation templates needed a different focus on LTA (completed)
How will this affect panels?
• You will have access to our DAFfing reports • We may ask to attend the panel to follow up
specific issues identified in DAFfing• PARM chair may wish to contact CELT rep to
discuss DAF before panel• You can include a direct referral to or request for
a report from CELT in your conditions and recommendations
LTA: Particular areas of focus for 14/15
• Learning outcomes (programme and unit)– Appropriately formatted: action verb and context– Shown to be assessed (including graduate
outcomes)• Assessment strategies
– No need for forensic detail, but decision-making process should be clear
– Clear reference to institutional procedures and how decisions are made
