b o o S t ‘ N ’ b u F F B o o s t e r / B u f f e rThe Boost ‘n’ Buff is a booster and buffer pedal that should be an essential on every pedal board, whether to keep

your original guitar tone intact or to boost the signal in three different ways. In bypass mode, it’s an ultra-high

(5MΩ) input impedance buffer, but in boost mode, the super-quiet, Class A transistor design can push out 35dB of

pure power! The tri-function MoDE switch allows for three boost options; Full, trEblE and MiD and voltage

multiplying circuitry takes the 9V input, and triples the internal voltage supply to provide more top-end sparkle,

clarity and more headroom than most boost pedals on the market.

c r u N c H b o X d i s t o r t i o nThe Crunch Box Distortion is our take on high gain British amp distortion. Careful design and development has

meant we have achieved our goal of creating a pedal which captures the huge crunch of a wall of Marshalls on

steroids. Take your guitar tone from a low-gain punchy rhythm sound to a high-gain modded JCM soaring lead,

always maintaining that tough British sound. An internal PrESENcE control helps to ‘shape’ the pedal by adding

some bite to a dark amplifier, or taming those highs for a bright guitar/amp setup. No matter what you’re playing,

the Crunch Box will deliver all of those classic rock riffs!

b l u E b o Y d e l u X e o V e r d r i V eThe Blue Boy Deluxe is the king of smooth, singing low/medium gain sounds – a perfect pedal for blues

and ‘fusion’ leads. The Blue Boy Deluxe has three times the gain of a traditional TS-style pedal but with less

compression, providing an overdrive that is faithful to your original guitar tone. But what sets the Blue Boy Deluxe

apart from most overdrives is the tonal shaping options available. Aside from the flexible toNE control, pre-gain

bass can be dialled in with cHaractEr, MiDS can be cut or boost and top end tuned via brigHt. This pedal is

truly a tweaker’s dream!

g . i . f u Z ZThe GI Fuzz is a flexible high gain fuzz pedal with an ability to create anything from fat bluesy tones, to all-out

sustain, to gated, synth-like bleeps. This GI features a trio of ultra-low noise, NPN high gain silicon transistors –

about 20dB more gain than a Fuzz Face! But unlike the Fuzz Face, the GI has tonal features like toNE, boDY

and taME switch to provide a plethora of EQ options. The loaD control is a unique variable input impedance

control providing consistency with any pickup and a biaS control to starve the transistors to give you some

unique textures. This is one heavy-duty, military-spec’d fuzz!

N E o f u Z ZThis is the crème de la crème of vintage fuzz offering amazing flexibility powered through a pair of hand select

Germanium transistors. The tone of the Neo Fuzz is remarkably different to the G.I. The Neo is much more vintage

sounding, a lot smoother, with less bite and buzz. Its gain is also a lot tamer, but there is still plenty on tap. The

biaS control enables you to dial in an exact transistor voltage supply to simulate the “sag” of used batteries

favoured in vintage Fuzz Faces, while the loaD helps the response of your guitar’s volume control for “cleaning up”

your signal. Combined with the same tonal features as the GI, this is THE modern take on a vintage pedal classic.

P o l lYa N N a o c taV E s Y n t H f u Z ZEver wondered what you would get if you crossed a guitar with a monophonic square-wave synthesizer? Well now

you can, with the Pollyanna Octave Synth Fuzz! The Pollyanna provides three parallel octave options: Two octaves

down (-2), one octave down (-1) and one octave up (+1) that can be blended in with the DrY guitar signal for a

huge wall of analog synthesis. But one great feature of the Pollyanna is its Octavia fuzz sound – dial back the sub-

octaves, crank the SENS. and +1, add some DrY signal to taste and you have all of those inspired Hendrix-blues

tones at your disposal.

c o M P r E S S o rThe MI Effects Compressor is an OTA-based analog compressor pedal for guitarists, utilising some advanced

features to provide one of the highest quality, studio-grade units available for your pedal board. The lEVEl

control with CLIP indicator ensures the cleanest input signal for compression with attack, rElEaSE and

SuStaiN controls enabling you to add some subtle sustain and sparkle, or heavy squeeze to your guitar tone. A

feature that sets the MI Compressor from the rest is the addition of the unique noise gatE, helping the notes to

organically cut-off when used with a noisy overdrive sound. Now you truly can have sustain-for-days!

t u b E Z o N E o V e r d r i V eOur signature pedal at MI Effects, the Tube Zone Overdrive is a pedal with unparalleled flexibility, which excels

equally well in low and high gain settings. The Tube Zone was designed with valve amp-like response in mind,

and gets its unique tone by mimicking the signal path of modern valve amp by clipping the signal up to 4 times! A

wide-ranging DriVE control takes the Tube Zone from chiming, transparent overdrive to Rectifier-esque high gain

in one sweep. Then add on the flexible MI tonal shaping controls of brigHt, toNE, MiDS and cHaractEr and

you have a pedal that we can confidently say, does it all.

M E g a l i t H D E lta H i G H G A i n d i s t o r t i o nThe Megalith Delta is a valve-like JFET interpretation of our award winning Megalith Beta high gain amplifier, with

complex and sophisticated like no other pedal. The tightest, most aggressive stompbox we’ve ever heard, ready

for the 21st century. Each gain stage simulated the pre-amp of the Megalith Beta – even down to the coNtour

control’s effect on the phase-inverter! Add a three-band EQ and EQ SHiFt (that positions the mid-frequencies

to be cut/boosted) and you can dial in any kind of death, black, grind, djent, hardcore, thrash, vintage or modern

metal sound you wish! Hit the gain booSt switch for high-gain mode to take it further than any other pedal can.

S u P E r b l u E S p r o o V e r d r i V eThe Super Blues Pro overdrive takes one of MI Effects most popular pedals – the Blues

Pro and steps it up a notch adding even more control and flexibility to the modified TS-

style overdrive. An extended range of features (like DEtail and boDY) help provide

more bottom end control, while the triM knob fine-tunes the gain to go smooth or

to add some bite. Switches controlling clipping structure go from a low-gain boost,

harmonic blues drive, to super-compressed fuzz. To top it off, some internal wizardry

provides 18V supply with a 9V input – to provide better response, clarity and headroom.

S u P E r c r u N c H B o X d i s t o r t i o nThe Super crunch box Distortion is our take on British amp distortion. Taking off

from the modern-classic Crunch Box, the Super crunch box is now much more

versatile in the low- to mid-gain spectrum. The added LO/HI switch takes it from a

low-gain punchy rhythm sound to a high-gain modded JCM soaring lead, always

maintaining that tough British sound. A three-way COMP switch allows for different

compression and gain structure, providing open, crunchy tones to super-saturated 80’s

harmonics. The now external PrESENcE control helps to ‘shape’ the pedal by adding

some bite to a dark amplifier, or taming those highs for a bright guitar/amp setup.

From a 9V input, 18V is supplied to the circuit to give more touch-sensitivity and better

response than the original. No matter what you’re playing, the Super crunch box will

deliver all of those classic rock riffs.

l o - F i d e l A YThe lo-Fi Delay is an analog-esque, modulated delay that has been designed to inspire an infinite amount of

experimental sounds and textures. Two waveforms (SQUARE AND TRIANGLE) of modulation, along with RATE

and DEPTH give anything from choppy tremolo, subtle chorus, vibrato pitch dives to sample-and-hold like bleeps.

A LO/HI cut switch controls the amount of top-end roll off on each repeat, to simulate those highly sought-

after analog bucket brigade delays of yesteryear. A TRAILS ON/OFF switch is included to provide the option for

maintaining a long decay of echoes long after the pedal is bypassed – perfect for those atmospheric passages in

the background. An INPUT GAIN and OUTPUT control allow for the best signal-to-noise ratio, and can be used to

overdrive the delay chip for some really gritty tones. The lo-Fi Delay is definitely one for the adventurist guitar

player!

c r o S S o V E r d r i V eThe cross over Drive is a FET overdrive designed to capture the response and touch-sensitivity of an amp’s

organic overdrive. The pedal was dubbed the cross over Drive due to its seamless transition from boost to

overdrive to distortion to fuzz with a sweep of the GAIN knob. At its lowest gain, it is a boost/enhancer adding

some extra sparkle to the guitar’s natural tone. Mid gain mode gives some nice, complex, tube-like overdrive but

allows clean-up of the signal via the guitar’s volume knob that A/B’s well against a standard clean. A bit more gain

and for have a smooth, harmonic-rich, sustaining lead sound from 70’s rock to jazz-fusion. Find the right EQ spot

with the DETAIL knob, and blend in the amount of top-end harmonics with the BALANCE control for one of the

sweetest, responsive drive tones that will have you convinced you have found another channel in your amp!

M E g a l i t H g a M M a 8 0 W H i G H - G A i n A M p l i f i e rFollowing on from the award-winning, high-gain Megalith Beta amplifier and Megalith Delta distortion pedal,

the 80W Megalith gamma is set to be on the wish list of every metal rocker! The “Megalith” name is quickly

forging a strong following in the high-gain community, with the newly released MI Effects Megalith Delta high-gain

distortion pedal also making similar splashes in the stompbox world. The new Megalith gamma is already met

with high anticipation and looks to follow in its brother’s footsteps.

The Megalith gamma is a scaled back version of the Megalith Beta, but with a tough voice of its own. The

Gamma has both Low and High (30W/80W) output modes that provide metal destruction from bedroom to stage!

Running off two 6550’s the Gamma can also use other large octal power tubes such as KT88’s KT90’s, KT100’s,

KT120’s, and other medium tubes such as EL34’s with separate biasing. With two large power tubes and intelligent

power-amp design, the big bottom end and punch of the Megalith Beta is still present, whilst also retaining the

complex and sophisticated high-gain tone that the Megalith line is becoming synonymous with.

The CLEAN channel is a channel is unlike no other in any high-gain amp. Whilst most high-gain amps can deliver a

brutal high-gain tone, flicking to the clean channel leaves most metalheads disappointed. Not with the Megalith

gamma! All the top-end is retained, along with the signature fat bottom end to produce a sweet, full clean tone

that most amps are envious of!

The DRIVE channel has three gain modes, and has more gain on tap than most metal amps in the market. Tuning

of the brutal gain tone is done via the three-band EQ, EQ SHIFT switch (selectable mid-frequency peak) and the

ever powerful CONTOUR control. The CONTOUR (affecting only the overdrive channel on the Gamma) can go

from fat, loose and vintage to tight, scooped and modern with a sweep of the dial! Shared EQ provides functional

simplicity and a consistency in tone across both channels.

Place your favourite effects into the active, footswitchable FX LOOP with SEND and RETURN levels allowing for any

effects unit or pedalboard to perfectly meld with the molten fury of the high-gain channel or the full-bodied clean

channel. This pint-sized pugilist is designed to pack one hell of a punch!

M E g a l i t H b E ta 1 6 0 W H i G H - G A i n A M p l i f i e rSophisticated, articulate and intelligent are words

not often associated with high gain amps, but

the Megalith beta sets out to change that

perception. Painstaking care and attention have

been placed into this original power amp design to

give an amazing low-end in full distortion, but also

amazing clarity, punch and authority whether in

FULL or HALF power. This twin-channel 160W monster can take any large octal tube from EL34 to KT-100 to give a

crisp, crystalline clean with loads of headroom that puts other high-gain amp’s clean channels to shame!

However, it is the three-mode (LOW, MID, HIGH) second DRIVE channel that redefines high gain tone; LOW mode

gives a detailed, articulate crunch, MID with enough gain to satisfy the heaviest guitarist and HIGH mode pushing

out some of the craziest, tightest yet stable high-gain sounds available.

The equalisation options can turn the Megalith beta from loose and vintage, to tight and modern via the three-

way ATTACK switch, independent 3-BAND EQ, EQ SHIFT mid-range switch and unique CONTOUR control. Dual

MASTER VOLUME controls allow for the seamless transition from rhythm to lead, with the MASTER, CHANNEL and

a series tube-driven/buffered FX LOOP selectable via a three-button footswitch. Add any effects, racks, extended

range guitars and power-matched cabinets to unleash the hard-rock, djent, prog, doom, black, death, thrash

guitarist within!

i r o N D u k E 5 0 W A M p l i f i e rThe MI Amplification iron Duke is a British voiced,

50W, EL-34 based work-horse of an amplifier.

With four foot-switchable sounds from full-bodied

clean, fat vintage plexi purr, chunky overdrive, or

liquid leads, the “Duke” will do it all!

The iron Duke was designed with both stage and rehearsal in mind. The Class A/B power amplifier delivers 50W

of clean output power, with a switchable low power mode limiting the Iron Duke’s output power to 25W – perfect

for hitting the Iron Duke’s sweet-spot in a typical gigging scenario. The ‘four-channel’ preamp (two independent

channels with a foot-switchable GAIN BOOST for each) can produce the whole suite of British inspired tones,

from jangly clean to primal scream. But unlike the standard British designs (and their various derivatives), the

iron Duke can be tuned to work with virtually any guitar and pickup thanks to independent BASS, MIDDLE and

TREBLE, along with BRIGHT or ATTACK switches.

Each channel, and its respective BOOST mode, has a MOD switch that can provide that little hot-rodded kick

when you feel like turning it up to 11! In Channel 1, MOD on, the bass and lower mids are boosted to give a perfect

platform for any overdrive pedal whereas the Channel 2 BOOST MOD adds even more gain and harmonics

reminiscent of the most sought after guitar hero tones. All four MOD modes provide a total of eight different

preamp voices to choose from.

This amazingly flexible design goes another step further with a unique power-amp/negative feedback control,

featuring DEPTH, PRESENCE and a three-way DEPTH RANGE switch extending the low-end and low-mids to add

even more body to the base guitar tone. Every combination will satisfy the most insatiable British-amp enthusiast,

to cover any era of rock be it recording, rehearsal or on stage,

“I’ve always had a soft spot for vintage sounds. An interesting point in these classic amplifier designs,

are how these innovative approaches of their time resulted in distinct branches in guitar tone that

continue to inspire music today. The aim of these combos is to pay tribute to these eternal classics, but

to put an MI take on it – pushing the boundaries of design whilst respecting the legacy of the originals.

Each of these four MI combos are my unique interpretation of four cornerstone vintage sounds”.

- Michael ibrahim, Director, MI Audio

a Pa c H EThe apache is a 30W combo designed with a nod to the

classic 60’s, jangly sound made famous by the British

rock ‘n’ roll invasion. Covered in wine-red tolex and

black/silver grill cloth, the cabinet oozes a charm and

style that will stand out on any stage! A quartet of EL84

power tubes gives two channels of chiming cleans and

treble-boosted overdrive. Each channel has two spring-

reverb controls (LEVEL and TONE) and an independent

CUT control for a variety of tones from splashy 60’s

surf to stadium-rock crunch! The novel power-amp and

power-supply design has three different bias settings

assignable to each channel, a valve rectifier and dual

HIGH and LOW inputs - providing the ultimate in

matching both power and feel between the classic clean

to raucous drive, and everything in between.

a Q u a r i u SThis single channel, quad 6V6, 30-watter is the ultimate

tribute to the classic Fullerton tones of the 50’s and 60’s.

Three modes (CLASSIC CLEAN, FAT BOOST and TONE

STACK BYPASS), a world-first phase-inverter design

giving either a Tweed-era cathodyne or Blackface-era

long-tail phase-inverter, and three power-amp modes

(fixed-bias and two cathode-bias) provides one of the

most impressive and flexible clean tones ever. The

aquarius also features the ultimate in spring-reverb and

tremolo circuit design that sees four controls for each

(reverb; WET, DRY, DRIVE and TONE, tremolo; LEVEL,

RATE, SHAPE, DEPTH), REVERB OUT jack, switchable

reverb-tails and reverb/tremolo order switch for wet,

modulated tones unheard of in an amplifier before now.

A HIGH/LOW power switch, PRESENCE control and

NEGATIVE FEEDBACK switch allows for the very best in

guitar tone – whether at home, recording, or on stage.

A lot of science went into the R&D of the new MI Amplification speaker cabinets. An arsenal of boxes have

been made to cover any sized amplifier from combo extension cabs to full-stack towers! Each cabinet

has been loaded with customized Eminence Wizards specifically made for MI Amplification that provides a

beautifully balanced frequency response to suit any amplifier.

The 4x12 cabinet has been carefully designed to stand apart from other 4x12’s in the market. The secret

to the sound of the slightly oversized design is a single piece baffle that provides all of the response of a

straight 4x12 response with the aesthetic of a slant cabinet.

The classic 2x12 cabinet utilises a different approach to the standard bracing design to produce just the

right amount of flex. This new bracing design circumvents the standard stiff and dull problems associated

with traditional 2x12’s. This translates to a warm, woody sound that can handle up to 150W with a pair of

Eminence Wizards.

MI Amplification is also launching two new takes on the 1x12 cabinet. The Oversized 1x12 whose contours

perfectly match our amplifier heads attain their wonderfully balanced tone due to the extra internal volume,

coupled with a specifically tuned rear baffle (removable for open back sound). This provides a depth and

low-end warmth not normally found in single speaker cabinets. On the oppsite end of the size spectrum, the

Micro 1x12 was designed utilising the Thiele-Small parameter to produce a cabinet with a remarkable low end

frequency response. The extremely sturdy construction helps to give a quad-box like feel making this the

biggest small box you will have ever played!

c r Y S ta l l at t i c EThe crystal lattice is the ultimate boutique amplifier

that everyone can afford! The original, modified

American design has garnered attention for not only

its exorbitant price tag, but from its loyal users in

the blues, rock and jazz world. Dual-channels (with

boost for each channel) provide the flexibility of

a four channel amp with round, blues-y cleans to

smooth, harmonic, mid-rich fusion drive to flat-out,

rock power – all with a stomp of a switch! Two 5881’s,

pushing out 50W, give both grunt and headroom,

whilst DEPTH and PRESENCE give complete power-

amp tonal control. In the original design, one of the

most expansive EQ sections ever designed has

always been limited to being shared across both

channels. Not on the crystal lattice! Each channel

and respective boost mode has a volume control

and, with some inventive circuitry, allows for the

four EQ switches (BRIGHT, MID, DEEP and EQ) to

be intelligently shifted for each of the four modes,

making the Crystal Lattice one of the most flexible

tone machines ever made.

t H E D u c H E S Sthe Duchess is destined to be one serious head-

turner! This dual EL-34, 45-watter draws inspiration

from the British Plexi designs of the 60’s. The

VINTAGE clean channel has one input – but with the

ability to blend internally-jumpered DARK and BRIGHT

channels. Plug in and feel the mojo of one of the

nicest cleans around, with top-end extension showing

off every nuance of your guitar and playing style. Turn

up both dials and there is that classic crunch heard

on countless classic rock albums! Painful attention

has been made to make this channel every bit as

fast, immediate, touch-sensitive and responsive as

the most sought-after point-to-point amps. Switch

over to the MODERN overdrive channel, and an array

of flexible EQ SHIFT and CLIPPING options show off

the Duchess’ tough side with all levels of gain and

saturation able to be dialled in. A buffered FX LOOP

(with SEND and RETURN levels) allow for seamless

integration of any kind of effect, or crank the levels

and use it to push the power-amp into thick distortion.

Whatever era of British rock is your favourite; the

Duchess has it in spades!
