CURRENT ISSUES IN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING Thursday, November 01, 2012 • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Fairview Park Marriott 3111 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, Virginia 22042 8 hours of Continuing Professional Education In today’s dynamic government contracting environment, keeping up-to-date on current issues is a real challenge. Interpreting the impact on your business is even more of a challenge. Government contractors are currently operating in a period of budget uncertainty and potential government shutdowns and program cuts. Changes in Public Law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) are, among other things, impacting how contractors establish internal business systems, determine and disclose executive compensation, monitor ethical compliance, contract for new business and account for contract costs. This is all complicated by the developing oversight responsibilities of the DCAA and DCMA, the impact of recent court decisions and the insertion of the various Offices of the Inspectors General into the regulatory environment. Program: The day kicks off with a FAR and CAS Update, followed by panel discussions on: Legal Issues Facing Contractors, Suspension and Debarment, Business Systems, OFPP/DCMA , and other compliance Hot Topics such as Sequestration, Equitable Price Adjustments and Terminations. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: CFOs, Controllers, Government Contracting Accountants, CPA Firm Practitioners, Auditors and Government Contracting Professionals.
