Michigan legislature did
not pass for the federal
educational grant-Race
to the Top dollars.
The Michigan public school have been hurting financially, experiencing a deal of budget
cuts.
The state legislature was hoping to be one of the states that could be promoted with this
educational grant which would have saved a lot of jobs
The U.S. Department of Education demanded to document
past educational reform success.
The state legislature was also asked to outline plans for what
the money will be used for towards the public school
systems in Michigan
Colorado,
Delaware,
Florida,
Georgia,
Illinois,
Kentucky,
Louisiana,
Massachusetts,
New York,
North Carolina,
Ohio,
Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island,
South Carolina,
Tennessee.
Note: Is it odd that
majority of the
winning states for
this grant are
eastern states?

On account the
state legislature had
to put together an
outline of budget
plan with the Race
to the Top grant.
Within our recent
decade
technology has
found its way into
the classroom. It
has been forming
a different way
students may
learn.
Another reason why we could
have used this grant in Michigan
is we could save and increase
the number of teaching jobs
available in our state.
The state legislature has
realized how
important it is to focus
on grants directed
towards our
educational system.
Our state is now going
to try to apply for
grants with a stronger
budget outline
Our legislature has now
undergone passing different
educational budgets there
will be around a couple
budget decisions this
upcoming year.
